New story coming but first you gotta answer my question... · 1:45am Mar 7th, 2016
Okay, Sombra peeps, back here I did a blog post that one person said was too random for their taste, but it had all the makings of an idea for a comedy story for me to write. So, as part of my goal to give us Sombraphiles a new story once a month, this is going to be March's offering to my King and his servants. BUT first I haveta ask you a question that will influence HOW it's gonna be done.
Do you mind if it's uploaded a chapter or two at a time OR would you prefer to have the whole thing up in one shot? It's only going to be maybe four chapters at the most and if I have more than one chapter done at a time, I will upload everything I've got. I gotta be honest, if the vote is to wait until it's finished, it won't be this week, that's for sure. If you can be patient, I will put up the prologue and first chapter in the next couple of days. Please reply in the comments. Thanks!
Isn't this image awesome! It's by a deviant artist called Eskerra. The original image is here. Heh, just as you were posting this, I changed the image to the one I'd
defacedjazzed up with a speech bubble. Crappy timing on my part, but if you didn't see it with that, refresh the post, lolThanks for answering, btw!
Whatever you're happiest with, really. If you'd feel happier about the flow, having it all up at once, then do it. ^^ Its entirely up to you, i'll love it either way! (you know, because you are much awesome ).
I prefer all at once. The first story I did, "Broken Heart", was a four-parter and I uploaded one chapter at a time even though I had the whole thing completed. My second story, "School Belle" was a two-parter and I just uploaded the whole thing at once. I know for long stories that go one for multiple chapters, this is not possible. But if a story is good, I'll wait.
If the story is short and it's completed, I would just upload it all at once. However if it's a long multichapter, I would do what Onomonopia does and update every other day (but only do that if the story is complete. By the way, I really recommend Onomonpia to you Sombra fans, his Sombra is fantastic, he's so much fun to read about. I'm addicted to his stories and especially the ones that have Sombra as either the main villain or secondary villain)
Apologies for the mass reply...I just learned to do this and it's FUN! WHEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
3794958 Aw...thank you, sweetie!
3795002 You know it's gonna be good 'cause I'll be bouncing all the comedy off you first before I put any of it out there for public consumption

My peeps are so mellow...I'm so lucky!
Me too...*waiting patiently for your next chapter - NOT!*
It would be if I had the other parts written, lmao

I like this idea. If I can bang out the other chapters this week, I will try to do that.
Thanks for the tip, Askre. Wow, he really likes his Marvel/DC/comic characters, doesn't he? It's weird imagining Sombra in that universe, but hey, I'll try any story once
3795329 Onomonopia writes exclusively crossovers but they always happen in various versions of Equestria with only small forays into the other universes just to get the superhero/villain or whatever crossover character he's using over to Equestria. Also if you're looking primarily for his stories with Sombra in it, don't trust just the Sombra tag, Sombra is sometimes hidden behind the "other" tag, like I did NOT expect him in the Superman story at all but there he was.
3795336 warning taken! Hey, do you remember if any of them feature Wonder Woman? She's my childhood heroine and inspiration!
3795492 Funny you should ask, because his most recent story he is updating is a Wonder Woman story.
One more thing about Onomonopia is that he doesn't fix typos after a chapter is published, he's said in comments before that he doesn't do that. I don't know why he has this preference, but there you go. Best just to read and enjoy an not worry about the occasional typo you might run across.
I would honestly recommend taking it one step at a time, unless you feel compelled, for some reason, to do otherwise.
For example, if you feel that 2 chapters are too intertwined (as in it is one continuous event you just split up into 2 parts) or you don't want to leave your audience on too much of a cliffhanger (although, I don't see why not), you can upload both.
Also, if you upload one at a time, you have the advantage of having more time to write/proof read your future work.
It can also grant your audience an opportunity to see the story as it develops and comment/debate on what they think will happen next.
