Chapter 11 finished, moving to editing time and Fire Emblem Fates... · 12:47am Mar 7th, 2016
...has stupid stupid writing.
And Oh my god Fire Emblem Fates' story is stupid.
(also, Chapter 11's writing is done. Editing time is now. Release will be probably next week Sunday)
I thought I was done with the bad writing, but no, there's more. And oh god, it's terribad.
As seen in the video below.
There's not really any spoilers to this video, this is immediately after chapter six where the avatar chooses a side. So, "first episode spoilers" are pretty much what's here. (just watch the first nine minutes.)
I do honestly believe there is no, NO way any of us (decent) fanfiction writers could get away with this crap.
Seriously...
(No, I didn't choose Nohr for that reason... I have no idea who I'm marrying my avatar too. It's future me's problem anyway.)
I was really looking forward to his game's story, and sofar, it's been a disappointment. Corrin just seems so...bland shonen charactery. I've never played Awakening but my editor says the story in it was far, far better then this.
But I suppose, that's why the battle system is so good. I've been loving it, it's so much fun to play. I started on Hard Classic, and Conquest was giving me so much trouble I had to move down to Casual. And still the game's really hard. Though I do admit, buying the DLC maps have helped me get stronger. That and realizing I can go online and rack up extra awesome skills.
I've been playing it almost non-stop since Calico let me borrow his copy of Conquest, despite me having access to getting the special edition with all three routes (I wanted to play it on a cart). Either way, I backed up my save and now handing it back to him, because I've been playing this game every bloody night until almost 4 am for...at least the past 3 days. I know I've done more (and I'm only at chapter 12...)
I gotta stop playing this. And so, I am. He takes it back, and thus I can detox from it until later. (See, this is why I fear the really super addictive MMO games like WoW. Part of me fears I won't be coming out if I get hooked on one of those...)
Back to my writing, Chapter 11, this nightmare of a fight is finally finished. This was a pain to do, and I'm happy I'm finally done with it. I'm glad there's people who like it. I honestly do too, i just feel like it's taken way too much and been too much of a (slightly plot important) distraction. Like padding a fightscene out by a few episodes. But, you guys heard about me complaining about it before, I won't twice.
I'm just gonna make sure there's no next time to a multi-chapter brain rioting fight like this again.
Also, season six is coming in 20 days. Yay! Reading the description of the season 6 premiere, I'm a little worried. I just don't want Starlight becoming the next [url=]Wesley Crusher. I trust that the team that wrote this is not the same team that writes Fire Emblem Fates.
Or Dead or Alive Dimensions.
Alright, I know about the Birthright route and the Conquest route since a couple versions of the games are named as such but what is the third route?
Revelations is it's name, mixing the complexity of Conquest and the grinding of Birthrigh (and gives you ALL the units). It's the dlc only route. the other two have physical copies (and you need to own one to buy revelations. or have preordered the special edition which has all 3 on cart)
