Well, that was quick.
Yeesh, now I gotta figure out what I want to see in the new season. Since I did pretty well with a 60% track record, I figured I'd put down a wishlist for the new season as well. Not giving me much time to think, huh?
So here's 6 things I want out of Season 6:
#1 A Twilight Velvet episode
#2 A Sparity episode
i.e. the two things I didn't get last time. Maybe persistence pays off.
#3 A Celestia episode
We're really overdue for one. Maybe something along the lines of Celestia teaching Twilight some things about being a princess, like I discussed with Darkhanos on an earlier blog.
Phew, let's see. What else?
#4 Something that makes me cry tears of joy like the CMC episode last season.
#5 An M.A. Larson episode that makes all the bronies shout "LARSON!!!" at the top of their lungs.
Oh, I know. How about a real controversial one for the final spot?
#6 I want one of the Mane 6 (doesn't matter which one) to get into a romantic relationship with a character that is already established in the show, that this relationship matters, and that it lasts for more than one episode.
Heh, good luck with that one.

Oh, that would be awesome. Like that episode from the old Batman Animated Series, where it's just Joker, Croc, Penguin and Poison Ivy playing poker and shooting the breeze.
What I want is for Vinyl to at least speak one line. Just one. Because I sooooo want to hear her speak since she does it in the comics.
An episode where Mayor Mare will be fighting the elections against The Flim-Flam Brothers.

Huh. There's an idea for the Celestia episode.
Celestia, Luna, Discord, and Starlight Glimmer playing poker while discussing past events as villains...and the revelation that Celestia isn't the perfect ruler she's made out to be and has her own checkered past.
As for your number 6...what if it turns out to be Applejack and Rara?
Hmm... another Discord episode that shows him thinking about past mistakes.
Definitely a parents episode.
I highly doubt 1 or 2 will happen 3 seems likely since Luna had her own episode last season 4 has potential to happen 5 probably and I would love for 6 to happen just so we can stop having the mane 6 shipped together

I remember that episode. Man, that was such a good show.
I would like to see either one of two episodes. I want an episode dedicated to Twilight and Spike's relationship since I think there is more their for them to flesh out, or I want to see an episode where Spike has to deal with some ponies discriminating against him because he's a dragon.

I'd be cool with that. But realistically, if they put one of the Mane 6 in a relationship, it's not gonna be a lesbian one. They can get away with hinting at it for Lyra and Bon Bon because these two are background ponies. But they're not gonna weather the storm of letters from angry soccer moms if they make it that obvious.

That would be nice. Any Spike episode that doesn't suck and gives him real character development would be appreciated at this point. But if it's not to be, we at least have a comic about Spike and Twilight coming later this month.

Depends on how they handle it.
What if it's revealed that Applejack's hiding the relationship for fear of how the knowledge that she likes mares will effect how her best friends - mostly mares - view her, and it becomes an aesop of how learning something shocking about your friends doesn't have to change how you interact with them, or who they are to you?
In essence, it becomes a lesson episode on, well, love and tolerance.
An Episode focusing on Diamond Tiara and a CMC (most likely Apple Bloom) having Fun together (can also be a Friends Forever Comic)
An Episode where we ACTUALLY see YAkyakistan (as much as I hate this Episode seeing Yakyakistan would have been rather nice.

I'm not saying that it couldn't work. But Hasbro is never gonna take that chance. Ultimately, they're in command, and I don't think they'd sign off on a premise like that. There would be just too much risk of damaging the IP for them.

I doubt there will ever be an actual romance plot in MLP: the whole idea is a pretty big no for the show's design concept. But if there is, I think it would be better to have a same-sex relationship than an opposite-sex one. It would fit very well into the show's morals, and wouldn't require a major shift in characterization. Plus watching homophobes' heads explode is always hilarious.
