And Nickelodeon SCREWS Its Viewers AGAIN!! · 3:17pm Mar 5th, 2016

Hey kids!

Remember when Nickelodeon abruptly pulled The Legend of Korra off the air during season three, shunted it to online streaming, then debuted the entirety of season four in a combination of online streaming and on Nicktoons?

Looks like Miraculous Ladybug is getting the same treatment.

Out of nowhere, after last week's airing, Nick suddenly yanked Ladybug off the schedule. The skip to a later timeslot was kind of a warning sign of this.

Repeats are still airing on Nicktoons and Teen Nick. I'm REALLY hoping this means the show is going to be shunted to Nicktoons and continue airing without significant interruption.

In the meantime...

*sigh*

We're ALL going to have to find places to stream it online.

IN ACCORDANCE WITH THIS WEBSITE'S RULES, PLEASE DO NOT LINK TO OR MENTION WEBSITES WHERE YOU CAN PIRATE CARTOONS IN THE COMMENTS BELOW. Everybody here should have the bare minimum amount of intelligence to figure out how to find it on Google in any case.

I had a BAD feeling this was coming. :pinkiesad2::flutterrage::facehoof::applecry:

Speaking of Nickelodeon... did anyone else here watch the new "Ghostbusters" trailer and thought the production values looked like something out of a Nickelodeon or Disney live action teen-school drama?

And this is why I don't watch TV anymore.

Well, aside from the new DC's Legends of Tomorrow which aired two nights ago on Sky 1...

Looking forward to seeing how Rip and the gang try to defeat Vandal Savage...

3792380 I've never had faith in that movie. I haven't even been keeping up with it. It's actually still happening?

3792386 Yep and one of the actresses actually said on record that if people didn't like the movie it was because they were "sexist".

3792380 I haven't even seen the original Ghostbusters, but I know that this movie's gonna be a disaster...

We should be grateful that Nick is even streaming it online. In the dark days before streaming was a thing, the show would have just fucked off into the void, never to be seen again after taking a ride through the "timeslot tilt-a-whirl."

3792392 If we don't like the movie, it'll be because it's made of ass and fail, not because the characters are R63 versions of the originals.

And with one of the stars actually going so far as to claim, before anything has even happened, that sexism is the reason for any negative criticism, I can feel that the ass and fail will be strong in this one.

3792392 To be fair, there was a lot of whining about how it was all "feminist crap" and lots of complaining even BEFORE we got a trailer :p

Now that there IS a trailer... some of us are just hoping it's a very badly-cut one. Still doesn't help the horrible racism, though.

3792405 I still think that claiming that the only reason you wouldn't like the movie, or that it would bomb is because "you're sexist" even at those times is a bit naive stupid. It basically assumes that the issues people would have with it would only be there because the characters are female. Personally, I've hated the idea of that movie since I heard of it, but not because of the cast—rather, I've hated it because it was announced from the beginning to be a "remake" instead of its own thing. I'll probably watch it when it's rentable to see if I was right, but with that trailer, those comments and the concept itself... hell no. I'm not paying 7 USD for that.

3792401 Exactly. And if the trailer alone is anything to go with, the fail is not only strong in this one... it's the Chosen One.

3792396 It didn't age well, but it's worth watching so long as you remember it wasn't trying to take itself seriously. At all.

3792401 Here's the official trailer in-case you haven't seen it.
And Here's a fan recut of the same trailer.

3792380
Speaking of nickelodeon. They're making "Legends of the Hidden Temple" into a TV Film.
And "Hey Arnold! The Jungle Movie" As a two-parter.

3792415 Saw the official trailer already, but the fan-cut was new, thanks.

Yeah, I'm honestly thinking this plot would have been better off as a hook for Ghostbusters 3. After a few years putting spooky things to rest following 2, the original team disbands and settles into retirement. Then someone starts screwing around with some bad stuff, and only one team knows how to handle it... but they're too old and tired for this shit. Cue the entrance of their convenietly-placed undergrad/apprentice/niece/groupie.

Off topic, but Discovery Family just confirmed a March 26 airdate for Season 6.

3792443 WOOHOO! Finally some GOOD news! And the second half of LPS season 4 starts that same day!

EDIT: An alicorn foal whose magic changes the weather? Gee, that sounds awfully familiar...

I am going to do my best impersonation of a Nickelodeon board meeting.

President: We need a good show.

Random Person #1: There is this french show, but I doubt it is as good as Spongebob. We could put on Sundays and never show an ad for it during the week.

President: Perfect idea. Then what?

Random Person #2: Then we could move the time schedule and not tell anyone so if they aren't recording it they are screwed.

President: Even better. And what would be the last thing?

Random Person #3: We could just pull it without telling anyone and those that do watch it, if any, will be pissed off and we can then fed off their misery.

President: Excellent. Now everyone put your heads up your asses and let us met again next time a new show comes out so we could show how much worse it is than Spongebob when we show it on our channel.

I am honestly surprised that Power Rangers hasn't been pulled yet and has another season coming out on Nickelodeon despite how poorly they advertise it, yet they will do it to this when they treat it the exact same way?

This is why when I find a good show, I only waych it online, whatever means. Television networks be damned.

Wow. Nickelodeon sucks.

(sigh) what happened to u nickelodeon? i still remember a time when u didnt suck, when your managers wherent morons, when u rival`d disney for a time ,when u had good shows like rugrats, ren & stimpy, angry beavers, catdog, and many more. now u show total garbages like breadwinners and sanjay & craig and think there absolute gold and refuse to let once good shows die like spongebob and fairly oddparents.

Is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles getting the same treatment?

Honestly? I understand why they shunted Legends of Korra to online....

Ratings were TERRIBLE. But ONLINE ratings? Were INSANELY good. So...why not just put it online ONLY! That's where everyone watches it anyway.

At least, that's Exec logic.

3793020 TMNT is getting the Power Rangers treatment for the most part--ridiculously long breaks between new episodes and extremely little promotion, but still chugging away. They're about 1/3 of the way into season 4 now.

3793298 They sure are taking their sweet time, huh?

At this point I don't see why you guys even bother watching TV anymore. I gave up years ago and I have zero regrets.

3793471 Because cases like this are the exception rather than the rule? And because if everybody gave up watching TV there wouldn't even BE shows like MLP:FiM?
