    It's been a bit

It really has been a while, hasn't it? For the record if I ever say that I'm continuing to write again, assume that it wont happen in the end. I'd like to say that I might write stuff again but honestly I have no idea whether I will or not. I have a lot of ideas, as I usually do. But no real plans or motivation. I've come back to the site to find most of the stories I used to follow, dead. I left

    Stephen Hawking (1942-2018)

So Stephen Hawking is dead. I mean, holy shit. out of all the deaths of well known people in the last three years, this has to be the most impactful yet. Very few people reach a legendary status like that man did, up there with Isaac Newton and Albert Einstien. RIP Stephen, you shall be missed. Oh so very greatly.

    A New Story

Since I'm resuming production of The Pale Condition, I've decided to start a second story to write alongside it just in case I need some variety. Well, put it this way. I've been playing a lot of Hollow Knight recently.

Onyverse (Un-finished) · 11:45pm Feb 28th, 2016

From now on, any one-shots I do will take place in one incarnation of Equestria unless the story explicitly states otherwise. This incarnation is called Onyverse, named after my very first account name on the site which included the phrase 'Onyx'. That's for all you people who were here way back when in '014. Back when I wrote good ideas badly. Looking at you, Orange Nebula. If you're still alive...

This blog will be linked on my front page, and will explain the history of the verse and it's races as well as it's customs. The blog will be updated as I go,(That means I make it up as I go as well) so it will be completed over time. Let's get started, shall we?

(PS: I apologise if the descriptions aren't at their best yet. They will be refined over time.)

The World: (Map Coming Soon)
The world on which Onyverse takes place is not so dissimilar to our own. It's a little smaller at about 85% of Earth's size, with a gravitational force of 8.34N. Onyverse's world used to go by several names during it's early days when the Equestrian tribes squabbled against each other on the ground and the Griffon clans fought for superiority on the mountains. But since the banishing of the Windigos the three main species of the known world learned from their mistakes, and made peace under a treaty known as the Three Pillars Pact, it has been referred to as Domus by the organisation KOE (Keepers of Harmony), who consist of major leaders throughout the known world.

Domus has a very elevated geography, full of valleys and mountains separated by rolling hills. The only areas of prolonged flatland is near the equator on Domus' lesser continent of Almar, where the land famously seems to lay low for hundreds of miles on end. The majority of Domus is crystal rich, mainly rock crystals. Lowly reactive metals such as aluminium, gold and silver are rare.

Races:

Equestrians:
The Equestrians are the most abundant race on Domus. They are split into three main categories with several subspecies. The three main species are Earth Ponies, Pegasi and Unicorns. They are known for their spirit and their devotion even through some of the toughest of times. The Equestrians are a species who's beliefs revolve around the prospect of Harmony. They have proven that when everyone is working together, doing the best they can do at whatever their talents may be, they can accomplish anything. It is this quality that has allowed Equestria to grow and prosper as their people are able to work together to complete almost any task. The Alicorns are the fourth main species. Though very rare, their power over forces of nature and their combination of all the tribes abilities have led them to undisputed noble status.

Griffons:
Griffons are the children of the sky, peak dwellers who spend their lives on the sides of mountains. Their nest-like dwellings from their formations during the days of the Windigos slowly progressed into great cities. Griffons are a proud people, famed for their prowess in battle, their strength and un-breakable will promising to overcome any obstacle put in their way. Though this trait served them well during the days before the unification and the destruction of the Windigos, the Griffons found themselves struggling to cope when they found themselves inundated by the ponies and their magic. All Griffons possess magic similar to that of a pegasus, however they are unable to work with nature like an Earth pony. This meant that their farmers had to hold onto luck for a good harvest. Though the ponies often help out when times get tough, this only led to a grudge held by the Griffons.

Minotaurs:

Donkeys:

Zebras:

Hippogriffs:

Changelings:

Draconequi:

Windigos:

The KOE:
The KOE are an organisation run by the leaders of the known world, acting in a similar fashion to our world's UN. It was formed in response to the lessons learned after the destruction of the Windigos in hopes that wars and violence can be halted, or resolved peacefully if they do break out. The KOE stands for prosperity and justice, and it's leaders wish to see the world absolved of cruelty. But over the thousands of years, a few of the families of nobles and royals involved have grown rotten intentions. Ans have made the KOE their stage for international espionage.

The Three Pillars Pact:

Calendar:

The agreed upon KOE Calendar is very simple and easy to keep track of. There are twelve months in a three-hundred and sixty day year. Three months make up each season, and each month is thirty days long. The year starts immediately after winter, symbolic of the unification of the tribes and the construction of KOE. Each month is named after the period of the season it is in and has an acronym for short writing on dates and such.

Early Spring, or ESp
Mid Spring, or MSp
Late Spring, or LSp
Early Summer, or ESu
Mid Summer, or MSu
Late Summer, or LSu
Early Autumn, or EAu
Mid Autumn, or MAu
Late Autumn, or LAu
Early Winter, or EWi
Mid Winter, or MWi
Late Winter, or LWi

There are six days in a KOE week and five weeks per month. The days are as followed from the start of the week to the finish:
Equday,
Griffday,
Minday,
Drakday,
Zeday,
Doeday.

The years before the unification and KOE are referred to as APX (Anno Pax), translating to Year of no Peace. Afterwards, years are referred to as APM (Anno Pacem), translating to Year of Peace. A date would have the day first, then the number of the day in the month, then the month, then the year. Like this:

Griffday 26th Mid Summer, 234 APM.
