    [Humility] Unlocking the Unfinished Experiment

Well, I wasn't able to keep my promise. I began work on Humility's updated version, made some nice headway on it, and then...just...so much happened. But I'm not going to echo the same excuses. Stuff happened, and Humility sat incomplete, and...I keep thinking about it and feeling like I left part of my best work unfinished. I suppose that's true.

    [Ikusa] Original Novel

Not sure if this'll reach many people but I figure it's worth a shot. Hi! I know that a long, loooooong time ago, I was sharing some details on my game project. It started here, but continued in different ways and for

    Fullmetal Pony Resources

Seems I can't do anything right the first time. Well, here's the in-progress collection to every single resource, note, draft, scrap, and plan I had for FMP. This is everything except the private messages between me and Twilight Is The BEST. And even now I'm still not done cleaning and formatting all of the documents in it.

Voice Acting: Highlight Reel for Karasutengu

I was recently cast in a fandub for Inverted Crown Productions, in the role of Karasutengu, the villain. I got permission from the project director to make a reel of my performance, and it took me all afternoon to get it hosted properly. So:

    A Couple'a Silly Prompts

I asked my buddies in a Discord server to give me some writing prompts because I wanted to create without rules. They came up with two, and they seemed to like 'em. So, I'm gonna share them here too.

A prompt about that humpback whale found in the rainforest.

    And...

[FMP] Pre-Readers Needed! Slots Open! Story Updates! Revisions! HOLY COW! · 10:49am Feb 26th, 2016

So you know how this is a huge project? And you know how I tend to use a lot of time just with quality control? Welp, I had approached a set of fine people when TwiBest and I began this project, but they've all been very quiet toward me in recent months. In fact, only one of them gave any feedback of note. Alas, it's been ages since I've received correspondence from any of them, and so...nothing against them, but I figure it's time to open up the doors!

Are you interested in pre-reading
for Fullmetal Pony?
Then I encourage you to read on.

I like to think I have a (decently) good thing going. With great ideas constantly tossed my way from TwiBest, and amazing editing work and suggestions from my good friend Spirit Seer, it stands to reason that chapters and drafts should only need to go through us. However, one thing I've learned in my years of writing horsewords is that people here tend to take the quality of fiction very seriously. I mean, just look at my own reviews.

So obviously it pays to have extra eyes on my side, yeah? That's where you fine folks come in! I'd like to try again with what I had before, in that three beta readers join the effort to help up the ante, spot inconsistencies, and try to keep things entertaining. Unlike my last trio, I'd also require that any new people try to be active when I call for them. Granted, I tend to take a while when it comes to writing - you can blame work and family, like always. But as long as I can expect a reply in a week or so after I send messages, then I'm willing to consider most people.

In general, the main thing I ask for in my readers is be honest. The rest is just standard stuff, you know - do your best to make yourself understood, copy and quote areas that you think need attention, offer suggestions or ideas if you have any, et cetera et cetera. If you have experience with writing, then good. If that experience is with dialogue or character study, then great.

As for this project, I will ask one more thing: provide an example of your craft. Not necessarily a whole story, but a snippet of your own style so I can get an idea of where you're coming from. I'm hoping to get great pre-readers, and I will settle for competent ones, but I'd like to avoid writers fresh off the signup page if I can. Experience is key, and your craft will be telling. If you'd like to define your strengths and weaknesses as well, then all the better.

So, in essence:

I'm looking for up to three beta readers (pre-readers) for Fullmetal Pony.
Anyone interested should provide an example of their writing and/or editing experience. No full stories or links, please - copy and quote them here or in PM.
Anyone interested should also list their strengths and weaknesses in writing, editing, or both.
Anyone accepted should try to reply at a reasonable rate after I send private messages with chapter updates.
Anyone accepted should strive to be honest.

Think you're up for the task? Well, then...

Please comment here or send a Private Message with your responses.
I'll be waiting.

In other Fullmetal news:

•Chapter two is underway with 2.2 being written at this moment. (Yes, I have it open in another tab. We're all workaholics here.) 2.1 is completed and is simply awaiting this Saturday before going live! You can expect part two to follow next Saturday, in keeping with my desired update scheme. But be aware that chapter two will only have two segments to it, as opposed to the three segments in chapters zero and one.
•Edits and revisions for chapters zero and one (mostly 0.1, 0.3, and 1.1) will be coming along after chapter two updates in full. I've received quite a lot of notes from Spirit Seer, and I intend to make good on them. Any major changes will be noted in the segments proper.
•Additional character art will be coming to support the story, in the same style as has been shown before. These will likely take the form of hyperlinks to images instead of inserted ones, to help keep the story's load time reasonable.
•Chapter two will continue the backstory of the main characters, so you can all expect to see these ponies as they were before tragedies struck. It's tons of fun, trust me.

And that's all I have to say about that! So, drop me a line if you're interested in being part of this giant peach. We'll cut you a slice. 'Til then...

You ain't seen the last of her. Just you wait.

All right, three for three! If possible, can all of you provide a quick list of your writing style OR what your strengths and weaknesses are? I'm going easier on my personal preferences, so just one of the two will be fine for now.

4135257
My strengths include detailed description of locations, emotions, so on and so forth.

Weaknesses, as far as I can tell, are dark writing and talking between characters...

4135257 I'm good at character developing, spotting plot holes, grammar issues, and OOC moments.

My strengths include character development, emotions, and relatively dark moments.
My main weakness is probably pacing.

I know I'm not good enough for this story or it's author shit just the amount of work and effort put into it is amazing. I'm new to this and just a reader so I hope you lots of luck.ots very rare I see such devoted people. the story, characters and the emotion is just simply astonishing, just amazing.

4241930 No problem. Thanks for dropping a line anyway! Glad to see we've made a good impression on you.
