Decided to go a little easier on the site today, since it was a Saturday after all and I haven't played TF2 in a little while (a week) :)
Emoticons: So the first thing I've added is emoticons in blog and story comments. They won't replace any text smileys like :), they all have somewhat verbose names in fact. Just click on one to add it to your comment!
Adverts: I've been wanting to sort out my adsense account for a while, so I did that today and I've added a couple of pretty unobtrusive adverts to the bottom of the page, and the bottom of the sidebar. Hopefully they'll help me pay for the site bills....and buy chocolate.....mmmmm
Stories on hiatus: Following a suggestion, I added another option for story status, "hiatus". So stories that are incomplete but aren't ever going to be completed (or certainly not for a long time) can be marked as this.
That's about it I reckons.

Speaking on story status and such, when will the final answer on... um, saucy... fics be decided? My project after The Empty Room will have a PG version and a full version, but it would be cool to be able to post both here.

Really? That's terrible. That's like EqD vs. Equestria After Dark. If that's the way it turns out, I'll probably just take my "normal" stuff off of fimfiction and stick with ponyfictionarchive.
That was the idea I thought of for now. Nothing is set in stone at all. If you're THAT concerned about having clopfics on the site, and you're gonna remove your stuff just because I'm not 100% on having them on the site (a lot of you think this is a simple issue) then fine, go.
The reason I came here in the first place was because of the suggestion that you were interested in open expression: At this point in time, adult rated stories (ie clopfics, and highly violent gore fics) are not being accepted. This is most likely going to change soon though, so stay tuned. And that the issue was a technical one. Oh yeah I should have added that there really. Might be something I could quickly do tomorrow, it shouldn't be too difficult. Probably just a ton of code to change to filter out stuff... Now it's looking more and more like that's lip service. So as a writer with many, many thousands of reads, why would I be interested in a site with inferior service?
Yeah it's because my thoughts on the matter keep changing, because it's not as simple as that. The issue is not technical at all. The issue is legality because I live in the UK and beastiality/underage fanfics (which these would arguably fall under) are debatably illegal. So I wanted to cover my bases before I make any rash decisions. I'm sorry if you think the site is an inferior service just because I'm not accepting clopfics right now.
Also can I ask why you're posting anonymously? I mean, I'm pretty sure I know who you are but I'd like to know.
