My sincerest apologies to those who hate being reminded of this day, for whatever reason, but I would feel remiss in not posting something to commemorate Best Princess's High Holy Day. Here's to Love more as a concept, not so much as a celebration of individual relationships that we may have had better or worse luck in pursuing. Here's to the concept of breaking down barriers between ourselves and the others we share this earth with, and effecting great things in doing so. Happy St. Valentine's, or Hearts and Hooves, or whatever you celebrate.
(Though I feel compelled to point out that Headcanon Cadance's true holy day is the pegasean Veneralia on April 1, which Heartlanders celebrate in a very different way in the form of April Foal's.)

), here in Finland we celebrate February 14th as the day of friends in general, and not just lovers. Thus we elevate Twilight Sparkle over Cadence!
A young Cadance once celebrated this day by running around zapping ponies at will with love spells.
The result was baby booms in several major Equestrian cities, two Griffon provinces and a Zebrican village.

My headcanon is a fickle bitch, always changing her mind. "Oh, certainly, we definitely need a pet rabbit for Cadance! Plan this whole story about the pet rabbit!" and then a few months later it's all like, "Meh, screw the rabbit." Not literally, one hopes, but headcanons are weird that way. Who even knows, basically? Certainly not me.
