I do a little of everything, depending on the story....
As for my own, I let the commenters go nuts with their thoughts.

When I comment I'm either the critic that likes to point out the mistakes, or the shy one. Depends how I feel, and if the story is mature or not.

I'm chaotic and all over the place.
It depends on the story. I'll criticize if there's something worth correcting (or if it the author explicitly asks for spelling and grammar notifications,) I'll speculate if the chapter ended in the middle of the plot or the story ended ambiguously, and I'll compliment and, if possible, joke if I have nothing else to say.
However, I'll always comment if I make it to the end, because I've been on the other side often enough to know that anything is better than just tossing a story out into the indifferent void, only for it to be quickly forgotten with little to no recognition.
I'm either a Shy or a cross between Critic and Complimenter. I have to really like a story or its author to take the time to compile copyedits.
I'm trying to think of more to add, but I can't. Just be thankful this isn't one of those communities made up entirely of either flatterers or haters. Those are equally wretched, for different reasons.

3745016 Yes, I agree: one of the reasons my membership in this fandom outlasted my enjoyment of the show was the somewhat higher density and accessibility of constructive critique.
I was also going to include The Cryptic, but they were cut for being a bit too similar to the Misspeller and being too hard to write a good example for.

3746618 The Cryptic was inspired by this comment (among others). It's such a rare breed, however, that it's hard to illustrate with a quote. I've only encountered The Self-Inserter once or twice, so didn't think they were worth mentioning. I considered including The Clueless, but felt it might be a little too mean-spirited (but then, I had no problem including some other mean-spirited ones, so :shrugpony:).
The Stoner makes me think of another type: The Reminiscer
