Good news everyone! · 11:56pm Feb 2nd, 2016
And not in the Professor Farnsworth way. I've been offered a job! I start in March. :) And it's a job where I get to work with one of the rarest specimens in the world!
Obviously this has taken a lot of weight off my shoulders and I should have a bit more free time to write before the move.
Tater- I will comment on your chapter update soon! I've read it but not had a chance to give detailed feedback! I will say it's my favourite so far.:)
Also, I found these at the supermarket. Sadly they had no green or purple flavours:
It's all good Woolly! I still have to comment on some of your stuff too, I think. And A.M. Shark! AND all my reviews!
BUT OMG I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU AND THAT'S SO COOL THAT IT'S THE QUAGGA BECAUSE OMGGGGG WE BOTH MENTIONED THE QUAGGA AND isn't it just so crazy, how things happen that way? It's such a coincidence!
But I KNEW you'd find a job. You have so much passion for what you do. I see it not only when directly speaking to you, but in your fics too. You KNOW this stuff, and while I certainly worried about you when it came to how you were feeling, I'll be honest--I wasn't worried at all about you finding a job because I just knew you'd find one and get hired.
BUT I'M REALLY EXCITED THAT IT'S ABOUT QUAGGA! I can't wait to hear about it!!!! Please, teach me things on this awesome animal.
cool

Oh I will! It's a baby one too! :D So cute! And yes, it is weird that we both had quaggas on the brain. So excited!
3729412 To be honest, I just wanted a good pun for 'Africa'. So I was researching zebra words. XD Zebrica is good too, but I try not to steal too many puns if I don't have to. But when you updated Eons and I had written that part but didn't publish it, I didn't want to look like a copycat. But I also thought it was awesome because our minds both went there.
Edit: WAIT, A BABY QUAGGA?
And, there's three type of quagga, but only one is extinct? I only glanced at your source page.

I've seen more than one author use "Zebrica" so I can't take credit for it. It's actually Non-Entity that has the Quagga reference in it. The update for Eons was about Fluttershy finding out about Tirek.
Yes, the specimen is a baby from the 1800s. It's super cute.
The Quagga is actually a subspecies of Plains Zebra. People have started a breeding program where they're trying to breed zebras to the point where they have the same markings as quaggas. They won't be "true" quaggas but it will be near enough. Quaggas as they existed in the past are all extinct.

3729462 Thank you for telling me! It's sad that they're gone, but its all just so fascinating!!!
Poor 1800's baby though. I wonder why he didn't make it...T_T
Oh, and I apologize for the mix-up! I usually don't do that, I'm sorry!

No worries!
Yeah, poor thing only lived a few weeks. Not sure why.
3729566 Is that something you could look into? Is that even possible? I realize it's stuffed and the organic material is WAYYYYYYYY gone by now, but maybe someone left documents or something.
Very
Yes
That's amazing, I'm so happy for you! The quagga looks so cool, and I can tell you'll have tons of fun. ^_^
Congratulations on getting a job. And are you going to wind up in a secret base working with a giant monster?
Nothing can stop the Smooze!
Congrats!!! Super happy for you

If there are any documents that's the only way. You can still take DNA from the skin but you wouldn't be able to determine the cause of death.
