An Idea for a Story - Children of Discord

I had a really interesting idea for a story - one which I'm hoping to get started on soon.

What if Discord was a father?
I'm not talking about Screwball who isn't canon.
What if Discord was actually the father of Pound Cake and Pumpkin Cake?

Think about it.
Two earth ponies giving birth to a unicorn and a pegasus with strong inborn abilities and a penchant for mischief.
Carrot Cake's hidden doubts when he explained to the Mane Six how the Cakes gave birth to a unicorn and a pegasus.
The baby Cakes were born middle of Season Two. Discord wrecked havoc on Ponyville the beginning of Season Two.

"Head"-canon (I don't think this actually happened but makes for a neat story)
Cup Cake was dissatisfied with her husband, Carrot Cake since all he seemed to care about was Sugarcube Corner. Also the two have had considerable trouble having a child together after years of trying,
Discord, with his freedom from his stone prison, is creating chaos all over Equestria.
He senses Cup Cake's unhappiness with her marriage. The two meet and have a one-night stand. Discord pretends to be another pony when it happens. A unicorn who has a pegasus mother and a unicorn father. Cup knows that Pound and Pumpkin are the children of her fling but she doesn't know that it was Discord pretending to be somepony else.

Things get interesting when Discord visits Ponyville one day and meets Pound and Pumpkin. He knows right away that they are his children and is torn between getting to know his children and playing a part in raising them vs keeping it a secret to not turn Ponyville upside down.

Or if you want to make it really tragic, Discord pretended to be Carrot Cake and slept with Cup Cake. So she didn't realize that she was cheating on her husband. But I really don't think Discord would be that cruel. So I'm probably not going to go with that idea. I see it more so as a "it was her choice to cheat on her husband" kind of thing with Cup Cake and Discord.

I was a little wary of posting this outline since I know there is a risk that somebody will take my idea before I start writing it, but was curious about what people think.
