But, by what we got, she IS Twilight's student now and has nowhere to live. She may live with Twi on the castle or in Ponyville and learn about true friendship and stuff with the Mane Six! Like Twi! It would be so good and awesome to see her happy, side to side with our heroes
I just want my bae to be happy, just that 
But, really, I think they wouldn't let pass that opportunity of having one more cast member (mainly for the toys they can make out of her, sadly that's how they think buddy), but also the writers would have more stories to make with her! 
So, I believe she may stay as Twi's student, or may appear in the first episode saying 'fuck this shit i'm out' 
I hope it's the first option, I love her :3
3718621 Excuse you. Starlight is best pony now that she's reformed. The redemption was supposed to teach us that even though your friends may change and become different, that doesn't mean you have to make everypony equal just to feel accepted.

Like, Chrysalis didn't had redemption, Sombra didn't, Nightmare (tecnically speaking she didn't, but Luna did), The Dazzlings didn't (who would deserve some), so I don't think every villain needs to have redemption, but I think Starlight deserves and IS a golden opportunity for brand new stories and adventures

Think abaut it - the show is all abaut friendship (and action)(and lesbian shipping) (and discord) so what would be a better ending than to reform all the villians in one swoop time-breaking episode? With the ending where NMM is a mostly-good alter-ego of Luna, Discord actually cares abaut ALL the ponies as a guardian of free will (Discord as the Statue of Liberty in Manehuttan - tie your brain around THAT idea), Chrysalis finds somepony who loves her (Spike?), Sombra reforms the Umbum (his race of gaz ponies) while marring Radiant Hope and Tirek reuniting with his brother in piece.
I think THAT will be the series ending.
