Yet another famous actor has died this January. Abe Vigoa died Tuesday morning at the age of 94. About 34 years ago it was said that he had died, but he was actually alive. Sadly, that is not the case this time around.
Abe Vigoda was a stage actor, and rose to fame as earnest mobster Tessio in "The Godfather", as well as Detective Phil Fish on the sitcom "Barney Miller". He will be missed by all, it looks like this time he couldn't escape death.
Earnest mobster nothing.
Sal Tessio was a rat who aided in the assassination attempt of Don Corleone, his boss and one of his best friends, and tried to sway Michael into an alliance with Barzini that would've resulted in the destruction of the Corleone empire.
God I love the Godfather. RIP Abe.
It really seems alot of classic actors have been dying this month.
