Is the Halter to get them used to wearing them young? Or is it to make him easier to handle? I doubt he'd be ready to ride yet... though it be cute seeing my 3 year old on a foal.

3712770 To get them used to it, largely, and for handling, the halter is used to attach the lead for training and control.
