Honestly, looking back at the fandom, most things it spawned were awful. All the things bronies furiously defended 2 to 3 years ago and such... awful.
But I don't care. There's no harm in enjoying awful or dumb things. The emotions and happiness I got from them were real. What do I care where they came from? I experienced them, and as the years go by, they aren't so abundant as they used to be.
Who knows, people are strange that way.
