    Release Lull and Such

    Hey lovies, Thisguyhere... here :derpytongue2:
First and foremost, I apologize for the far longer than planned delay on the next Fuse chapter. We're well beyond the one per two weeks goal I set for myself. So yeah, sorry.

    Sooo... Been Working on Something

It’s another story. Now don’t worry; While I too am well aware of my track record, I have no intention of dropping Fuse. It’s actually become a -personal goal- to see the story through, even if I’m still not sure how long it’ll end up being. It won’t be one of those forever stories, but it’s shaping up to go for a good while yet…

    Expected delay

Hey everyone, I know my chapter releases can be a bit random but it might be a moment longer for the next. I've unfortunately been sick that past couple weeks and am still dealing with some of it, slowing progress significantly. All that now being mixed with the withdrawal of getting off my head meds isn't helping much either. :pinkiesick:

    Still in progress

Sorry again lovelies, I really don't mean to keep letting the momentum slide. Got sick for a week and then the first draft of the new chapter was just... very meh. So I started over and it's a little slow going but I'm getting there. Will do my best to get it out by the end of the weekend but can't promise.

To Displace or Not to Displace? · 2:49pm Jan 22nd, 2016

So there are considerations being made- Mostly on whether or not to continue with the displaced. I believe at least one of my stories may suffering for the... status of being displaced, it's release schedule certainly has at the very least. Calm down readers, that doesn’t mean I’ll stop writing the adventures of our favorite cyborg and buxom boxer- not all at (I love Maze way too much now to do that :pinkiehappy:)

But- I AM seriously considering altering the stories to no longer be displaced. An alteration I think really shouldn’t be too difficult with Equestria Gear- it really wasn’t ingrained in the multiverse much as it stands anyway, other than the prologue (which in all honestly could probably just be rewritten or even deleted without much loss I think) and a smattering of paragraphs here and there. It may be a bit more difficult with Locked Heart- her being displaced was a good deal more ingrained in that story, so that may require a more comprehensive rewrite if I decide to drop that story's displaced status. We’ll see though.

Nothing’s set in stone or even in motion so don’t worry just yet- BUT I WOULD VERY MUCH LIKE INPUT FROM YOU! Yes you who is reading this now, I want to know your opinion on this! Without you here read my endeavors of literature, there would be very little point indeed. You’re the ones reading them so please- do you think I should just stay the course or say to hell with it, rewrite and ignore the multiverse? Please comment or even PM me, I really would like your input.

Some of the main reasons for this consideration would be not only the recent drama the displaced group had been fraught with but also just the general negativity most people tend to immediately associate with the genre… I’ve had comments from people plainly stating that even though a story looked interesting they immediately dropped it just because it was a displaced story. :applejackunsure:

There’s also the incredible lack of cooperation and follow through I’ve been subjected to in trying to get this damn crossover working the past few months. Nothing personal against those I’ve talked to, some have turned me down and that’s perfectly fine; but I actually HAVE been set up to have Maze crossover into at least 7 different stories over that time- only for everything to fall through with each one. Some have had legitimate reasons that I don't begrudge at all, and this isn't an attack at any of the authors I've talked to, merely stating my experience thus far. Many times communication has completely cut off, or they’ve simply stopped the story in question, and with some I still don’t know what happened exactly. I don’t know if I want to go through this kind of headache and DELAY :ajbemused: every time a potential crossover comes up, and if I decide to just say no more crossovers than what’s the point of even declaring the characters as displaced? Aren’t they just Transformed humans in Equestria then?

Again, any input or ideas would be greatly appreciated readers. Now as always- Thanks for reading and have a good one

IF you drop the Displaced status, instead of just deleting the prologue, why not write a new one set something like twenty years after the deaths of the Metal Gear characters and that Maze was a prototype in an attempt to take all of the best aspects of them into a single body as an ultimate weapon of sorts?

Now there's an interesting idea. It would require a few changes in the story proper, as she'd be from the actual Metal Gear world, but that wouldn't be too difficult and it's certainly something to consider- Thanks for the idea!

If I could ask: Do you think I should drop the displaced status? Or are you as ambivalent to the idea as I? :twilightblush:

3704734 As long as general... feel... of the fic doesn't change, it really won't matter to me.
You're a good writer, that's why I stuck following this fic.

Ultimately though, it's never really felt like a Displaced fic any way. Dropping it into a simple crossover status won't affect too much.
...
Also, you might get some of the followers who avoid Displaced fics... So, y'know... that's always good.

Dont drop the displaced status, but if you do change it to rouge displaced status. (I want to do a crossover with Maze eventually!)

I personally Think that it is fine either way... To begin with a story should not suffer wheter or not it is part of an genre or a Group as long as it is well written. I can't really understand why some people hate so mutch on these kind of stories. In reality what difference does it really make if a character is given the apearance and Power of Another? this gives the author the ability to make whatherer they please with the character and they don't have to rely on an already made personality.

We are not the author of mlp or any other crossover so some characters are bound to be different than they are in the source material, that is why they are called "fanfiction". This is our playground where we can make any character act as out of character as we want or at any notice compleatly replace any character if we so choose. So as long as your story is imaginative or well written then the origin does not matter what so ever, because this is your playground of creativity, it is fine either way as long as you enjoy the story (I certanly do).

I wish you well and hope you have a good day .

My opinion? Well, I enjoy the prologue for it's simplistic nature, so that's something. I read the story for it being displaced, so that's another. The thought of change for the story is fun though, also the thought of Maze not knowing about the show and all the crazy things that happens in it when she gets there. Also, it would probably more beneficial for you because of the slight amount of people that dislike displaced stories for being displaced stories, and changing it would bring a probable increase in views, yes?
- J.E.

I think you should keep her as a displaced, and if you needed it to introduce her to the multiverse I am always open.
