New Story Incoming Tommorrow · 7:15am Jan 15th, 2016

Apologies for the unintentional hiatus there; I've been trying to get something done and been procrastinating on doing it.

Fortunately, that is all behind me now and I will never procrastinate again.

You know, starting tomorrow. :trixieshiftright:

Anyway, my next story stars two ponies I've not written about very much before at all: Pinkie Pie and Scootaloo. It is a bit silly, but hopefully folks will enjoy it.

In other news, I beat Life is Strange while I was procrastinating on this story, and may or may not post a review of that game at some point as well - as a decision-centric story game, it is very heavy on story, and actually does a very good job with characterization, particular of a few red herrings who end up connecting with me on a deeper level than any other character in the game, which was interesting, as they were designed to be initially very offputting, but by the end you feel sorry for them.

I have been reading some pony stories, but not quite enough for a review set; I should fix that soon as well.

But, yes. Stuff got done. Hopefully, more stuff will get done soon. And if anyone is interested in helping me edit the story I'm posting tomorrow (it clocks in at about 2.5k words), your assistance would be appreciated.

Until then, hope you all have a good one!

Woot, new horsewords from the dragon! Look forward to seeing it.

I can't say I liked Life is Strange. The writing was hella lame with the teenager slang. But it did get some great broteam videos, so there's that at least.

My favorite character in it was probably David, oddly.

I'm not sure what you mean about the teenager slang; it was obviously intended to invoke the speech of teenagers, I suppose, and maybe a bit consciously at that, but it usually didn't stick out to me too much. The fact that the protagonist was kind of socially awkward seemed to stick out more, and maybe her self-conscious usage of words like "hella" stuck out, but that was kind of deliberate.

Or did you feel like they were going overboard with Chloe?

When you procrastinate, tomorrow never comes? :rainbowlaugh:

Technically, tomorrow never comes. It is always just one day away.

Dazzling display of logic, captain! :raritywink:
Seriously, I missed you on the current WriteOff.

I'd be interested in helping out with the editing if you'd like.

Fortunately, that is all behind me now and I will never procrastinate again.

You know, starting tomorrow.

Well, that's my whole life in a nutshell. "Tomorrow" from Annie is basically my theme song.

I've never heard that song. I guess I'll have to look it up now.

They were going way overboard with Chloe, yeah, and a lot of the dialogue seems like it was french middle-agers trying desperately to emulate what teenagers sounded like, so much it just reminded me of
