Alright, so this has nothing to do with ponies. *watches half of you turn away* Wait please! It *is* important I promise. Give me a chance? I'll even include pony pictures.
Alright, I hope some of you decided to stay. So, this is a blog post about Free to Play games. All free to play games include Micro transactions to supposedly speed up the game. That's great I guess if you really like this game *shrugs* I play free to play games that don't need them Like Clicker Heros or Battle for Blood both are free on steam and super fun and semi addicting. Though be prepared to rage quit on Battle for Blood all the time!
*coughs* Where was I? Oh yes however there are SOME free to play games which suck you in and you *need* to use the mirco transactions to get anywhere with them. I should know.

...Yeah, I know silly right? But I'm serious in fact I spent A LOT of money on those micro transactions before I was finally able to get help. How much?
*sighs*
I'm ashamed and angry with my past self. But I realize realistically this could happen to me again. that's why I don't touch the buy more Micro transactions I can't trust myself. In fact I don't even have my card linked to anything I reenter it every time for anything. I lost myself once I could easily do so again.
So that's my story, and a warning. Stay away from micro transactions in free to play games! It may not seem like it can hurt you but it so easily can. So very easily.

I've never spent that much on them, but back when I was playing EverQuest 2, our Guild leader spent over 1000 USD on a single character to replace our main tank which had quit the game. *hugs*

I recently bought Pokémon Picross, and I was so excited until it started asking for money to continue, and I was offended on a personal level...

I...I don't think you understand how pissed off this makes me. It's not the fact that you spent $2000 on a free-to-play game, it's the fact that you spent $2000 that could have gone to a better cause on something as worthless as a free-to-play game. My family is at constant risk of losing our internet access, we don't have a lot of money to throw around. I had to use my entire bank of pocket change that I had spent a year saving up (pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters) just to get enough money to walk down to the store today and buy a 99 cent coke for me and a dollar candy bar for my sister.

This was in my past Ocean. Over two years ago I was just thinking about it today because of something I was watching. And I didn't have the money to spend it was done over two years that were really really bad for myself and my husband. It was and is an addiction one that i'm still struggling with. So be mad... i'm mad too. But don't think this was something that had no impact. It did and does. It's a large reason why it stopped. I got help.
3680857 She knows it was a dumb thing to do and is admitting it. But I don't see how that exactly gets you so angry; everyone on this site (and probably anyone you know online) spends money in all manner of stupid ways on a weekly basis. Getting angry at people who don't always spend their money correctly is like getting mad at people who liking something that you hate, it'll just cause you hatred in the end.
I'm just glad I haven't taken the time to calculate how much money I've spent on cosmetics in TF2 or League of Legends.
