GTA 5 Online · 11:40pm Dec 28th, 2015
Hello all, as you all may know, I recently purchased Grand Theft Auto 5. Everybody else seemed to have it and it looked like a pretty fun game so I decided to give 'er a try. I'll say that it is a very fun game and just recently, I finished the story mode.
(I killed Michael)
Now all that's left is Online. The mode in which everybody is out to get you and nobody is truly your friend. Well, soon enough, once I upgrade my Playstation I'll be online. Now you may be wondering:
"Why is GOB telling us this?"
Well, it's simple. I'm sure most of you own a copy of GTA, whether it be physically or digitally, and I can assume a good handful of you play it on the Playstation 3 or 4. Hopefully 3. Point is, I'll put my Playstation username out there to those who would like to meet me in GTA 5. Then we could play together, ask me questions, and just have a good time. Until then, ta!
P.S. I had this crazy idea in my mind for a while now, and I may or may not just execute it. As you all know, there's an imagination machine in my head that won't let me sleep whenever I get a good idea for a story, well, recently I had this idea. Make a GTA styled story based off the characters my fellow players and friends on GTA play as on Online mode. So, if you want your character to be mentioned or to have a major role in a potential story, let's meet up Online.
Wrong ending.
Pick Option C next time.
Anyways, if you wanna get yourself to a high level quickly, find somebody who's willing to do a specific mission for you named 'Rooftop Rumble'. Because if you're a level 1, you don't have access to hesists until Level 12. Then when you do reach that level, do heists. Don't spend anything and always store any amount of cash you have into your bank account.
3648770 I know the whole "Find a friend with a better level so they can invite you to better missions" trick, but the problem is I only have one friend who isn't responding so I'll quite literally be starting from scratch. Also, I know Ending C is the canon ending, but then I thought:
"You know... Michael's cool and all, but I hardly play as him." So I offed him. Not just that, but I find his special move kinda useless. Yes, I use the special moves.
P.S. Best believe I'll be doing everything in my power to unlock heists ASAP.

I personally like Michael, but I see why you did. His special move wasn't too great, sure, but slow motion headshots are fun. Trevor's Rage and Franklin's Slow-Mo Drive are better, definitely.
I see. In that case, just do simple missions and you'll get there. The only thing you should truly spend your cash on is the first useful gun you unlock. The Assault Rifle (AK47). You'll get an Uzi, Pistol, and a Pump Shotgun early on, provided you have the funds. If you're feeling rich though, buy a Homing Launcher.
Later on, you'll have enough to buy a house. That's really your main goal. Buy the cheapest 10-car garage apartment ASAP.
Trust no one. Absolutely. No. One. You'll be a low level, so people are most likely going to hunt you down and push you around for some easy kills and cash. You'll be in the clear when you get to Level 75 or so.

Just like Freshman year of High School...
Don't worry, I'll only buy the necessities. Such as weaponry, a house and garage. I'll only stick with the one car I steal and mod up until I purchase a garage. In fact, I'll hardly use it until then since I'm more of a hijack whatever is closest kinda guy.

Except instead of fists you got rockets, jets, airstrikes, snipers... basically.
In the beginning, you'll have a race. You pick the car you want to race with. If you win, you keep that car. Then you go to Los Santos Customs and put insurance on it (very cheap. $2500)
Hijacking? Perfect. Well... not really. You steal a car, you'll either get 2-stars, or a bounty ranging from around $1,000-9,000 dollars. People will hunt you down. Period. Regardless of what amount it is.
A car I recommend getting when you can is the Zentoro or Franklin's own car (Yes, you can get his car online. Along with Trevor's and Michael's.)
Then... waaay down the road... when you are a high level and have good cash...
Buy a Hydra.
3648836 Oh I know the Hydra, best believe I know the Hyrda.
But I meant stealing NPC vehicles, not other player's... Well, occasionally I'll try to make off with one of their cars. I know not to destroy them however since that will label me as a "poor sport" which will screw me over in the long run if my friends aren't labeled as poor sports.

Good.. Good.
NPC vehicles exactly. You can't steal player vehicles cause 98% of the time, they'll have it locked so only they can access it. NPC's can call the cops on you, put bounties, or just run away if you steal their cars. Oh, and Simeon...
You will learn to hate him with a burning passion if you don't already. He'll give you a list of cars he needs. You steal any one of the cars, you automatically get 2 stars. It gets annoying. And it's not really worth doing. Not even for a quick buck.
The only negative side effect about destroying player cars is that most are extremely expensive. You destroy one, that's around $1,000-$27,000 straight out of your bank account. Don't attack unless they attack you first. Or unless you're filthy rich and want to kill some kids and piss them off. Because you're bored.
Like me.
Don't worry about 'Poor Sport' stuff. What you should worry about is if a player put a stick bomb on your car and is just waiting for you to get it and start the engine...
3648876 Believe me, I know the troubles behind sticky bombs. I'll be sure to keep a close eye on my cars when playing Online. I already know NPCs can call the cops, but in Online, it's gonna happen inevitably.
