Update on recent affairs + OM&M fanart! · 12:49am Aug 18th, 2012
Hey there everypony!
Some of you who've been following Of Maids and Mistresses since the beginning may have noticed a drop in updates recently. Where before we were doing about a chapter every two days (and a chapter a day before that, when the published chapters hadn't caught up with what I had already written down yet) it's now been about five days since the last update. So first I want to say: Don't panic, I'm not stopping the story here yet! I'm a bit busy at the moment with looking for a job and various other things in my life (like a certain fighting game I've been playing a lot...), but I'm still writing. In fact, I've already got 4k words done for the next chapter, it just happens to be a rather long one of "those" chapters, if you catch my drift. "Those" chapters always take me longer to write. I get... distracted.
So with that out of the way, I want to point your attention towards some Of Maids and Mistresses fan art that an artist called "Pege" (Raiko on fimfiction) sent my way. I'm extremely flattered by it, and I hope you enjoy it as well!

Hey, thanks for the feedback! Unfortunately, I won't be able to do anything with it as "You've gotten boring." is a bit too non-specific a complaint.
Also, for the record, I have to say that I considered some karmic justice by just copying the 4th comment on your "Nightcore" fanfic (it's one of your own comments) but I decided the lolz weren't worth the breach of integrity :p
So thank you for your opinion, and if you can point out exactly what is boring then perhaps I will look into it. Specific criticism is always most helpful. For instance, the intro text to one of your fics has an "i" where it needs to be "I". Be sure to let me know if you spot similar errors in my writing, it would be most appreciated.

Eh, it'll be upward of 6k at this rate, there's really no telling.
I think the whole raping of Rainbow Dash and Apple Jack's weird outburst just kinda derailed it. Right now the plot seems thinned out, like jam spread too thin on toast. OM&M has become Bilbo Baggins.

No, we have a few to go yet. I'm not entirely sure where it'll end at this point, there's a few possibilities.
Oooooh I have an idea! You could write another gore-fic, not a sequel to Cheerilee. Something completely new. You're brilliant. I want more from my favorite gore-writer! You're the only one with good grammar. Not even joking. xD
Ah, so that's what has been happening.
I am usually check my favorites because when I gained an extra story in my new favorites, I always thought "Oh, it's OM&M." Then I check it, and it wasn't. I think I did that like 5 times.
It's all good though. I have been able to get some of my chapters done, and I still have yet to start my new story...
I said I would start it about 3 days or so ago, but things always came up (mostly napping). Anyways, glad to here what kind of chapter is coming up next. This will definitely be awkward.
295186 Just decided, because I saw the comment, there are actually a lot of good writers that have good grammar. You just probably chose the wrong fan fictions to read. If you want, if you don't mind any kind of genre, I can give you a few recommendations on some well written stories. Then I have like 91 other stories I have to read to empty out my read later, but the ones I have chosen so far are really good.
Anyways keep up the good work, and I will be watching you with this new profile picture.

I've thought about it, but I'm the kind of guy who really dislikes writing the same scene twice, so I'd have to think up completely new gore scenarios, because I wouldn't be rehashing any of the murder methods used up until now. That's harder than it may sound, though, as we've already exhausted our fair share of methods, and not every means of death actually translates well into text.
But I'll think about it.

Where do you live? I live in one of the most hottest cities of all. I'm a Las Vegas guy, so we get like 114 degree weather for like weeks upon weeks.

I live in Belgium, temperatures like the one you talk about are completely unheard of here :p
