Dear Loyal Watchers, Interested Visitors, and Confused Passersby,
For the fifth time in our years together here on this fine little slice of the fandom, I find myself active in the fandom upon a Christmas Eve. I conclude my Advent this year by presenting you following images of a baby dragon from a show about magical, talking pastel colored ponies for nine year olds. I know that you'll appreciate them as much as I do!
I'm sitting here attempting to finish up my presents, packing, cleaning, and sorting so that I can get on the road to my mother's house where I will pass my Christmas once again this year. I had hoped to lure her to my home so that my family could gather here and actually see my two Christmas trees and the 5,000 lights that adorn my house, trees, bushes, fenceline, mailbox, and the wildlife that enters my yard. But, alas!, Thanksgiving at my house went so well that my mother demanded to have Christmas at hers.
So, my house will be dark tomorrow... yet it doesn't feel dark. I've had the busiest December in terms of work that I've had in years, but I don't feel that I've missed out on anything. I think that those of you who know me well enough know why. I know that not everyone shares in or believes that which makes Christmas so wonderful, so filled with meaning, for me... but I can say the following with utter sincerity: I hope that you are all able to enjoy the holiday, and that the blessings that it brings to one and all will carry on with you throughout the year and that you and yours will be filled with glad tidings all season long.

I'll be traveling down to my mother's house very shortly myself, though for once we won't have much of the family there.
First, wow, that is a ton of lights. I think, back before we moved and had trees and stuff in out yard, my parents would do that. Now, not so much but we still decorate heavily. I bet they're really beautiful. Here's to hoping that you have the best holiday yet and that your Christmas is filled with love, laughter, and joy.
