What You Can Post In Your Blogs: Answered By A Site Mod
Due to the new anti-spam blog rule that came into effect yesterday, I had some general questions about what you can and can't post in your personal blog here on the site that I asked to a site moderator.
This is what I got in response. I hope that it can help people who might have similar questions about what they can and can't post in their own blogs.
My Questions:
I have a few questions concerning blog posts, due to the new anti-spam blog updates.
1. Are you allowed to promote people's stories, art, and other creative works in your blog? This is kind of what I do, having a bunch of promotion groups on the site. But if this is not allowed, I will not promote things in my blog anymore. A good example of a promotion blog post I have made is this one here: https://www.fimfiction.net/blog/541699/groups-worth-checking-out-9
2. Can you posts character polls (or polls in general) that encourage people to leave a comment on your blog and nowhere else? An example of what I am talking about would be this blog entry I made here: https://www.fimfiction.net/blog/573150/who-are-the-best-characters-in-mlp-among-these-choices-trololololo
3. Can you answer the questions of a quiz but not encourage people to spread it and only reply in the comment section? A good example of this is a blog entry I made here: https://www.fimfiction.net/blog/530070/all-you-will-ever-care-to-know-about-me-seriously
4. Are you allowed to post article-style blog entries? As in, articles that you have written but are publishing for the general enlightenment of your readers. A good example of this is a blog entry I made here: https://www.fimfiction.net/blog/544052/cartoon-series-worth-checking-out
5. Are you allowed to promote your own sites/ off-site content in your blog just as long as you don't encourage other people to share it in their own blog and only leave comments in the comment section? A good example is this blog entry here: https://www.fimfiction.net/blog/515183/mlp-game-apps-ive-made
6. I haven't personally done this, but can you post a blog entry that asks other members to follow another site member? Like for example if I made a blog that said, "Hey, follow Alexstrazsa he is the most awesome mod in the universe. He just needs 12 more likes to become a rock star!" Would that be allowed or would that be counted as site-wide spam?

1. Yes, you're allowed to do that.
2. That's also allowed.
3. As long as it stays on your blog and not encouraged, it's fine.
4. Yes, article style blogs are fine.
5. Yes, you can promote your things in your own personal blog posts.
6. I'm reasonably sure that's also allowed. It's similar to promoting someone's story.
