    Update (Without excuses this time!)

Guess what? I'm done writing the next chapter of Manifesto.

I just need to give my prereaders a day or two to look over it, and then it'll go up.

Until then, here's Despacito being played on a guzheng.

    Hey, everyone.

I've somehow gotten out of the habit of posting updates. Oops.

Anyway, you've no doubt noticed that I don't post as often as I once did in the past. This is largely because improvements in my life situation mean I have the wherewithal to engage in hobbies other than writing fanfiction.

    Update.

Goodness, it's been a while, hasn't it? You're probably wondering why my pace has slowed down on Manifesto. Well, there are several reasons, but the most relevant one is that I find myself rewriting large swaths of this chapter as I zero in on the best plan for Sunset to take. I'm basically going back and forth between two ideas that can't really be combined into a single one, and for

    New Story Incoming

In case you missed my last blog post, I'm taking a break from the adventures of Celestia and Daring Do to write the next Petriculture story. At this point it looks like it'll be fairly short -- about two chapters long -- and I recently finished up the first chapter, which will be posted once my prereaders give it a final once-over.

The Force Awakens doesn't even open wide until tonight's midnight showings, and somehow, I've already managed to stumble across a spoiler, or what I'm 90% certain is a spoiler (I suppose there's a chance that it was the result of a very clever troll who simply thought of a plausible plot twist and just acted like it was a spoiler).

No, I'm not going to tell you what it was, because I am in possession of basic human decency.

4chan is spreading around the picture I think you saw.

"This image will trigger manchildren."

As long as the name Jar-Jar isn't in it...

In the grand spirit of shouting "Snape kills Dumbledore" at random passers-by, 4chan brings you: Princess Celestia likes cake!

3624086 - It wasn't a picture, though due to poorly worded reviews that provided just enough plot points to put two and two together, I'm also pretty sure that I can guess what that picture contains (and if I'm right, what I'm talking about is something else entirely). To be perfectly clear, I have no problems this particular plot development, and I can't imagine anyone being upset by it. It's the fact that it was spoiled that bugs me.

I haven't even bothered trying to avoid spoilers, cuz with something this big, and with how many assholes there are with internet access, it ain't gunna happen.
That doesn't mean I will spoil things if I get to see it though.

DARTH VADER IS LUKES FATHER

So basically, it's like what happened with the MLP season 5 finale. :ajbemused:

Only there it turned out pretty much most of the "spoilers" were just speculation that only seemed like spoilers, because it all fit together too well, and one kept on running into more and more "clues" in random places where you didn't expect to run into spoilers in the first place.

I hate it when that happens, it can completely ruin an episode. :twilightangry2:

Still enjoyed the finale, though the last five minutes made me cringe all throughout, expecting one of the "spoilers" to come true at the last moment which thankfully didn't happen.

So, I'm sorry to hear of somebody possibly diminishing your enjoyment of the new Star Wars movie. I hope it doesn't impact your viewing pleasure too much. :unsuresweetie:

3624293 - It probably won't. If the review aggregators are any indication, this is going to be the kind of movie that warrants repeat viewings, and those are largely immune from spoilers anyway.

In addition, the more I've thought about it, the more I've concluded that the trailers dropped enough hints that it's really not coming from nowhere, but you'd have to obsess over them quite a bit to tease it out. Besides, after mulling it over, I realized that this particular bit of information is just vague enough that it can be interpreted in more than one way and still be true (and furthermore, those different ways to interpret it have different implications for the Star Wars universe as a whole). Also, now that I think of it, the multiple interpretations I've thought of aren't actually mutually exclusive, so there's still room for me to be surprised by something.

So... no, upon further reflection, the movie hasn't been ruined.

I saw the movie 28 hours ago. Since when does the USA get movies later than Australia?

I AM A SLOW WRITER OKAY

I thought you were a sky writer?

Perhaps it is like when you name your per snail "Speedy."

Ugh. Tell me about it. I'm half tempted to just straight up unhook my computer and TV until I see it to try and avoid spoilers.

Probably have to make sure I don't leave the house either.

I have no problem with Star Wars spoilers... I'll either just play Fallout 4 or work on my Kerbal Space Program cockpit/controller/desk/thingy till my paycheck comes and i can afford to see it...
The day AFTER Christmas... :facehoof:
Here's hoping the boss is feeling nice and hooks us up early...

Neither Soldering irons, Arduinos, Commonwealth settlements, Dogmeat, nor Curie will ever spoil anything for me! :pinkiehappy:
Bonus points for the last two... cause both of them are adorable!

I had tickets to a 7PM Thursday show, but had to sell them... because somebody thought their volleyball practice was more important.

Volleyball practice. :flutterrage:

3624097 Come on. You know I desperately need Jar-Jar to turn out to be the evil Jedi mastermind behind Palatine. It's the only possible way to redeem the last 3 movies.

3625989 - This may be heretical, but I don't think Episode III actually needs very much redemption. It was obviously flawed, sure, but it was far from a bad movie.

3626238 The plot would've looked good on paper, but I felt that its main focus was Anakin's fall, and it didn't explain Anakin's fall. And, hey, if you make your main character a slave whose mother is still enslaved somewhere, use that in his character instead of making him out to be a spoiled emo brat. That was my main gripe with it.
