SuperPinkBrony12

I'm a brony and a Pinkie Pie fan but I like all of the mane six, as well as Spike. I hope to provide some entertaining and interesting fanfics for the Brony community.

Special Re-Review: Equestria Girls: Forgotten Friendship

While we now know that this has to take place not just before Season 8 but before the events of the 2017 FiM movie, it first premiered in February of 2018, about a month before Season 8 of FiM hit the airwaves. Interestingly, the Discovery Family broadcast omitted several scenes that were later released as part of an "extended" version. As for the writer, it was none other than Nick Confalone,

    Episode Re-Review: Uncommon Bond

After the absolute disaster that was "Secrets and Pies", Season 7 really needed something to redeem it and give it the chance to go out on a high note, especially now that the big 2017 movie had come and gone, and the show's future was still uncertain. Josh Haber, after having returned to the story editor's chair and ultimately taking back the reigns fully from Joanna Lewis and Kristine Songco

    Happy Birthday, Kathleen Barr

Today is Kathleen Barr's birthday. She is the talented woman who voiced Trixie and Queen Chrysalis in FiM, as well a host of other one-off or otherwise minor roles. And, apparently, she was planned to be the voice of Princess Celestia originally.

    Episode Re-Review: Secrets and Pies

*Sigh*, might as well get this over with. When this episode first came out, I didn't think it would be possible for any episode to dethrone "The Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000" for the worst episode of FiM in my book, but somehow this episode found a way to do that. It doesn't help that it had its big secret accidentally exposed early thanks to an IDW comic getting leaked ahead of time, so we

Top Ten Colts and Fillies, Version 2 · 4:43am Dec 13th, 2015

Although we didn't get any new colts and fillies this season to my knowledge, I believe it's time for a new list ranking the ten best. Here is the original version, and this time Diamond Tiara will appear on this list.

10. Button Mash
Why he stayed the same: Even if Hasbro likely only put him into the background of both "Slice of Life" and "Crusaders of The Lost Mark" because of the controversy surrounding Jan Animations' "Adventures of Button Mash" series, it was still nice to see him. I'm pretty sure he's likely only be a silent charavter like Vinyl Scratch, since fans would ineviatably complain if he wasn't voiced by ShadyVox.

9. Ruby Pinch
Why she moved down: Ruby has had a small speaking role in "Ponyville Confidential" where her voice was provided by Cathy Wesluck (they didn't even try to hide that it was esentially the same voice she uses for The Mayor), otherwise she's largely just a pallet swap of another unicorn filly, and hasn't been utilized much by the fandom.

8. Dinky Doo
Why she moved down: Despite her similarities to Derpy Hooves, some people believe that Carrot Top is Dinky's mother, and although Dinky has done enough to justify her own character tag, it's not often you'll find her in a fanfic where Derpy doesn't appear. And unlike Ruby Pinch, she has had no speaking roles. She was seen bouncing along with Ruby Pinch and some bunnies during "Winter Wrap Up", and attending the titular event in "Sisterhooves Social" with Sparkler, which led to speculation that has largely died down, about said pony being Dinky's older sister.

7. Featherweight
Why he moved up: Featherweight got a noticeably large speaking role in "The One Where Pinkie Pie Knows", and we found out that he was in on the secret of Shining Armor and Princess Cadence in order to help with the big scavenger hunt. Whether or not he's still editior in chief of the school newspaper is unknown, but he has at least taken to be a crier for said paper in order to push sales. Oddly enough, he got to be the star of an adaptation of "The Amazing Spider Man" back in 2012, but he hasn't had many other noticeable roles in fandom works. But I did see a dub of one comic (which I cannot remember the name of) in which his big brother is Bulk Biceps. And having a stallion like that for an older brother would certainly help to make bullies reconsider picking on him.

6. Twist
Why she moved down: Twist's VA has left the show, and apparently moved to Pennsylvania, or at least that's what some fans have mentioned. As a result, it would seem that Twist is largely stuck as a silent background character from here on, though the comics may still think of something to do with her. I wouldn't necessarily mind her getting a recasted VA, seeing as the show did a good job of masking Shanon Chan-Kent voicing Pinkie Pie in two episodes in Season 2. If they could cover up something like that to the point where no one notices it, they could probably edit Twist's voice to where the change is almost unnoticeable (they did it with a colt that will show up later on this list, so there's always the possibility). Since Apple Bloom has gotten her cutie mark, it would be nice to know she didn't stop hanging out with Twist because of a lack of a cutie mark.

5. Babs Seed
Why she was added: While I don't quite like the idea that we're not likely to see her ever again in the show (her VA is still with Hasbro and DHX to my knowledge), I'm hopeful she can at least make some cameos in future seasons, especially if we go back to Manehattan. She's still technically my favortie Cutie Mark Crusader, even if she no longer qualifies for the role, and may or may not be replaced in the role of fourth member of the group. I guess for now, the IDW comics will have to do in regards to screen time for her.

4. Rumble
Why he moved down: Rumble seems to be the colt of choice for toy ships involving Scootaloo, and Rumbleloo is among the most popular straight ships of the toy variety. He's been featured in a lot of fanfics, centered on himself, as well as his relationship with Thunderlane his big brother, and occasionally his relationship with the Cloud Twins, Cloudchaser and Flitter. But he's been noticeably absent since his introduction back in Season 2, and with some characters being added and having more screen time, he just couldn't compete.

3. Silver Spoon
Why she moved up: Silver Spoon's appearance in Apple Bloom's dream in "Bloom and Gloom" led to surprisingly memorable lines from her character, particularly in regards to the possibly unintentional Pokemon reference. But "Crusaders of The Lost Mark" decided to take a page from a lot of Silver Spoon redemption fics, in which Silver Spoon stops being friends with Diamond Tiara due to her behavior. While it seems that Silver Spoon and Diamond Tiara have since patched things up (and it appears that Silver Spoon's valley girl voice may be an act considering the way she talked to Diamond Tiara after the election) I have to wonder if she was at all aware of Diamond Tiara's situaiton at home. I'm thinking she didn't, or she wouldn't have broke off their friendship because of Diamond Tiara's behavior (though she likely would've tried to make her realize what she was becoming).

2. Pipsqueak
Why he stayed the same Believe it or not, Pipsqueak actually had a different VA when he reappeared in "Twilight Time" after over a season and a half of being absent. But he still has that Trottingham (British) accent, and as of "Crusaders of The Lost Mark" he may be taking Babs Seed's place as the fourth member of The Cutie Mark Crusaders, though that is debateable and all fandom speculation at this point. The thing is though, as student president he didn't do much. He hired the CMC to be his campaign managers, then consulted with them when he couldn't get the School Board to approve his request for the new playground equipment. And it was a reformed Diamond Tiara that provided the money for the equipment, as well as the one who supervised said equipment's construction. Getting Spoiled Rich on his bad side certainly didn't help, so Pipsqueak should likely look into consulting with Diamond Tiara and the CMC, while also stepping up to become a leader in his own right if he doesn't want to get ousted in the next election.

1. Diamond Tiara
Why she was added: Diamond Tiara didn't make the original version of this list at all due to her lack of personality and character, besides just being a bully character. But "Crusaders of The Lost Mark" redeemed her and propelled her to the top of fandom character lists and fanfics, as well as fan works. Much of the fandom has done nothing but shower praise on Diamond Tiara since she turned over a new leaf, so there isn't much I can say that hasn't already been seen. All I can hope for, is to see this new Diamond Tiara appear more frequently in Seasons 6 and beyond.

And there you have it.

Honestly, I would argue that DT DID have a personality beyond just being a bully prior to Crusaders of the Lost Mark: A manipulative sociopath.
I'm not saying it's a GOOD personality, but it's a personality nontheless.
However, I do agree that she started out as a generic bully.

I think you forgot that colt with the strong teeth and filly with super strength. They don't seem to have names yet though.

3615208 I think that one filly was named Lilly Longsockings by the fandom, but even then she was only present in two musical numbers.
