Some old images have disappeared

Graphs have vanished from some of my old blog posts, as well as the banner on my home page. Last month imageshack.com changed to a pay-only service which doesn't host images for blogs, and I guess it just found out that fimfiction.com hosts blogs.

You can have imageshack.com serve your images for just $4 a month! For my images, I'm guessing they serve my 173K banner 1,000-2000 times a month, so that's about 260M of bandwith (and I'm using about 3M of disk space). So $4 a month is about 3000 times what it costs them to host me.

Crime pays, but not as well as image hosting, I guess.

I've been meaning to get set up on Imgur, but I've been using Google+ photos for my links since way back. It works out fairly well, since the Georg account is only used for ponyfics. That, and I'm lazy.

If you want the reliability of a paid host, I've been happy with NearlyFreeSpeech for around a decade. A $4 deposit there could keep your images up for a year.
