An update, NaNo and plot bunnies

So uh yeah, I'm still alive, as is the story just kinda,writer's blocked. I wanted to make a buffer of chapters before writing again(I think I only have like, 2 and a half till what I have posted is caught up with what I have written) but writer's block, it's a bitch.

Once again, NaNoWriMo has come and gone and I did take part, unfortunately I only managed about 25k. See this time,rather than doing original fic like usual I decided to do fanfiction. And not fanfiction with OCs either like the one I have on here. Nope, full on fanfic with canon characters and everything.
See a few months back I fell headfirst into the Yu-Gi-Oh! fandom, and while I watched through DM, GX, Zexal and Arc V(which is on going actually and yeah they're all great) the one that I ended up liking the most and getting stuck on(as my tumblr can attest to), was GX. And after watching it through I went 'I wonder how differently everything would have played, if Judai(Jaden in the dub) had kept Yubel rather than sending them away' (for those not in the know, Yubel was basically the entire driving force of season 3, which is basically where shit gets real).
And it knocked aorund my head for a few months and I decided 'hey, I should write this for NaNo' and being that it would have enough material since I'd be covering at least the first 3 seasons. So I did. Or I tried. Having to rewrite duels is really hard. Especially when you need to keep the outcome the same, but events play out differently during it. Yeah, not as easy as it seems. And referring to episodes to remember what else happened in it, and since I'm watching it subbed(b/c the dub is bad when you compare the two, it really is, the dub treats it like a giant joke, also season 4 was never dubbed, so you might as well watch the rest subbed just so you're used to the voices) I cannot multitask. I am determined though. >:)

That said, this leads me into my third point(before I start rambling and spending this entire post going on about GX), plot bunnies.
I don't normally read crossover fanfiction but I have a few in my favourites, one of which is a DM/MLP crossover. So I wondered, are there other ones that crossover with the other series. From what I found on here, sort of. I found ones that crossed over with DM, 5D's, Zexal and Arc V. But not GX(the closest I found was with OCs). Which bummed me out. Then this plot bunny sprang to life.

Set a couple years post series for GX and sometime after the end of season 4 for MLP.
Judai, Johan and Yubel are supposed to be going on a much needed vacation, a break from the Pro circuit for Johan(Jesse in the dub, for those wondering) and a break from everything for Judai(because let's face it, keeping the 12 dimensions safe is hard work). Unfortunately, they end up dragged not into one of the 12 dimensions of their universe, but into Equestria instead. And no idea how to get back because, not being one of their universes, Judai and Yubel's ability to traverse the dimensions won't work.
A trip through Everfree forest brings them to Ponyville, and face to face with the Mane 6, who are determine to figure out who/what they are and what they want. Judai and Yubel soon realize they aren't the only ones that have ended up here, and old foe has settled in Equestria some time before they got there, one Judai and Yubel thought they destroyed. The Light of Destruction. The Society of Light has begun to spread already. So before thy even think of going home they have to deal with that, the Light will do to Equestria and it's universe what it intended to do to Judai's, destroy it.

Character tags would include Mane 6, Celestia, Luna and Other
Genre tags would include Crossover, Human, Adventure, Drama(possibly) and Romance(to cover the interactions of Johan-Judai-Yubel because yes, it's a poly ship and yeah there's gonna be romance and fluff, at least between Johan-Judai and Yubel-Judai :p)
Probably rated T, I can't imagine it needing a Mature tag.
And yes I would be using the original Japanese names for the characters and obviously it contains spoilers to events in GX, though I'd try to make it so you could understand it with minimal knowledge of GX.
