Calling all of my Monster Hunter fans, I have even more Monster Hunter X news for you! First off, Amatsumagatsuchi has it's own icon now! Odd, considering it's an Elder Dragon, but whatever. Second off, Alatreon has been confirmed, so I hope you're all ready for the time for the BEST time of your lives! But I have one question for you that I'm sure you won't have the answer to.
WHAT THE F**K IS THIS?!
Because of the size of the picture, I'm unable to show it on the site. However, that's our new Elder Dragon buddy! Its name is Osutogaroa, the thing we were teased at when the end of the MHX trailer rolled around. If you believed Alatreon was a threat, you ain't seen nothing yet. Compared to it, Alatreon might as well be considered a Great Jaggi. How? Well, here's a list of the amount of ways this new monster can absolutely screw you over:
- 2 new blights in the form of "Boned" and "Mucus". Hell if I know what they do.
- It has not one, not two, not three, not four, but FIVE ailments it can control!
- One of those ailments is Blastblight
- It's covered in bone, meaning it probably only has one place to hit it on.
- You fight it in the DRAGON BONEYARD! That alone means bad.
- This is rumored to be descended from the giant monsters of old. Remember the giant skeleton from the MH4U forest?
- This thing is fucking terrifying! And it's not even fully revealed yet!!
So yeah, you know you're screwed when this:

There is one redeeming factor about the Osutogaroa, however; it is weak to all elements except for Blastblight, meaning it shouldn't be tough to really KILL. However, I would imagine it has increased HP, defense, attack, and just about everything else. Just... Just get all your potions ready for this one, okay?

3591898 and yet every time i see a deviljo i run like a girl. there is NO way i'm fighting that unless i have the absolute, dead level best armor and weaponry.

As far as I'm aware, the monster looks stationary. So at least it shouldn't be hard to really HIT, per say. The problem comes with getting to it, which I believe would cause some problems for hunters. Think of it as a Zelda boss, I guess.

The first phase has creepy technological sounds, dark muttering and whispering, what I can only imagine is an X-wing starting up, and Hans Zimmer's "BWAM" sound effect.
The second phase is terrifying, with a more upbeat sound to it. The first part of this tells you that this monster isn't joking around, but it later shifts into a rather sad theme, which is curious. Does this monster actually mean something important to the MHX world?

Yeah, I discovered earlier today after making this blog, doing some research. Apparently it's some kind of cephalopod or nautilus, right? Yet it's STILL classified as an Elder Dragon!
