Season Five Finale RANT

Normally I don't do this since I am not really the blabbery type in blogs, but seeing the Finale for this season just recently due to finally finding the time to do so. Well...I just had to vent even if no one reads this haha.

Okay first off I did like the premise a little, time magic fuckery is neat and I LOVE what if situations. And I admit I enjoyed the little glimpses at the fucked up Equestria worlds, though some were very short due to the whole time limit of two eps but eh.

But sweet baby Celestia....they didn't do a good job with executing it in my mind. I was fine with it up until the point Twilight started to reallyyyy hold the idiot ball with all four hooves and her wings. I mean seriously...the brains of the group couldn't figure out what Starlight changed until it was blatantly pointed out? The bitch was right there when you were blabbing about how important a SINGULAR MOMENT was to you and your friends.

Then the fact she kept trying to talk to the girls in those messed up realities as if they were still her friends, or the fact she got like filly fooler creepy around little Rainbow Dash. Twilight...come-on girl you aren't that stupid and you can't be THAT socially inept anymore, you're the princess of mother buckin' friendship!!! Your Charisma should be at LEAST a five out of ten...but you were at like one! You could have at least been smart enough to trick RD into doing what you wanted. But then again I guess smart does not equate to clever...it rarely does these days...

Next idiot ball moment coming up. Twilight not figuring out from the get go why it was nighttime suddenly in one reality, or the like. Again the excuse of surprise is no longer valid after the last two happening and this one being WAY more obvious than the other two as well. I mean the first two I needed some extra info to figure out what was going on, but after seeing a world with Sombra and another with Chrissy...doesn't take a genius to figure out. 'Oh it is nighttime weirdly enough...now what evil villain has a night theme....oh rightttttttt.' But nope had to get it shoved in her face out right...I mean not even seeing the old castle fixed up and having a NIGHT theme seemed to have tipped her off before hand.

Then there is the fact that Twilight didn't just blast Starlight as soon as the bitch showed her face with that smug grin. Manipulative, cutie mark stealing, brainwashing bitch having a smug grin should be a red light, now lethal blast worthy...no but stun her at least. Besides isn't she sort of an runaway criminal? I mean wouldn't she have broken some laws with the whole stealing identities, trying to brainwash a princess, actually brainwashing ponies, and using fear to control her own village/cult? So totally legit reason for Twilight to shoot first ask questions later....But nope she didn't do that and didn't even start to actively fight or attack Starlight until she saw the second screwed up reality. Just...come on Twi you brawled with Tirek and blew up a lot of shit, so we KNOW you know how to fight in some manner...

Now onto Starlight herself. A unicorn that can actually stand toe-to-toe with Twilight who is not only the pony representation of the element of magic, her special talent is magic itself, and is a ALICORN as well. Seriously...how does that even work? Please explain because I can't grasp this. As I would think Alicorns, even the young ones, would be stronger than normal ponies. Then add Twilight's already considerable power with magic when she was only a unicorn before. I just...I can't believe that a unicorn of Starlight's power could stay under the radar that long. Seriously....because apparently she is so strong she could have beaten unicorn Twilight into a bloody smear it seems.

Next bit about her that drove me nuts. The idiot actually ranted about how there is no way Twilight and her friends are so important. Oh so the fact that the six beat Nightmare moon, Discord, helped take down Chrissy, assisted in getting Sombra vaporized, ensured Tirek didn't eat all magic, and various other big events is not....worthy of them being considered important. Not to mention the whole Elements of Harmony stuff as well...Again no bad, Starlight you aren't that stupid...put the idiot ball dow-...NO DON'T USE IT TO PLAY CATCH WITH TWILIGHT!!!

And finally the ending. I am all for cute soft endings...but this one just has a bad vibe to me. I mean it seems to say 'It okay to totally overreact and try to ruin everyone's life. People will forgive you and be your friend anyway!'. No seriously it does seem that way to me. Starlight willingly indirectly caused murder, death via Changelings/Tirek blasting shit up/Sombra War/Discord forgetting ponies need to breathe air not helium/and what ever else, as well as massive destruction of the government in some shape or another. And before anyone says stuff about her not knowing what her actions caused, Twilight showed her one of the worse ones and the psycho still was going to ruin the future again. And even destroy the only way to fix the problem. But is she punished...even a slap on the wrist? Naahhhh lets all sing and be friends. Just....NO

Dear Celestia,
I just learned how badly the writers will shoehorn a feel good ending for the show.
Even if it doesn't make a lick of sense, and actually conveys a very negative message.
