This is, no joke, the best action-RPG I've ever played, and one of the best games that Bioware has ever made.
Were it not for that this game was one of the few games worth getting on the original X-Box and the PC version somehow being missed by many, I am dead-certain this would have been a franchise on exactly the same level as Mass Effect and KOTOR.
A wonderful art-style. A combat system that's simple enough to figure out near out the gate, but with enough level of depht to take some time to master.
The best story Bioware have written to date.
As such, I sadly can't say much more without spoilers. 
I strongly, strongly suggest you all open up Origin, click in under that 'Free Games' button, and give this one a try blind. You can't beat the price of free, and this is really one of those stories you should go in without knowing anything into for maximum effect.
Its not flawless by any means. The morale system was Bioware's first try at a mean/nice split instead of a good/evil one, and it shows in spots. And despite the wondful Wuxie inspired art-style and world, the game is a decade old by this point, and the raw tech side of that is starting to show.
Still, I highly, highly recommend this one. And again, you can't beat the price of free.
