Pegasi are one of the most common races in existence as of today, however in my awareness of the presence of the nation of Vaporia and it's rumors of being where pegasi originate I have come to believe that the pegasi may have first arrived upon the mainland during the First Tribal Period and have come from cloud settlements that were in and around the area that is now Vaporia. Their decisions to move to the mainland can be assumed as being due to an ease of finding food and other supplies to scavenge as well as the eventual settlement upon the land. As for what Vaporia itself was during the Rising, High, and Falling middle ages I assume it was likely a multitude of small nations and possibly city states that in time of history might have united together at some point in history. An issue with learning about the early pegasi before their arrival in the mainland as well as of middle ages Vaporia is that structures of cloud do not tend to last like centuries like something such a stone castle might, most of what can be found about middle ages pegasi comes from ground settlements which was where the earth pony farmers under their service lived and worked. The areas in and around Vaporia are certainly a probable place for equestrian pegasi to have descends from in it's altitude and close proximity to land. In general there is certainly more that could potentially be known but unfortunately the lack of archaeological evidence makes any info I might have limited. Hopefully I can discover more but for now I have this speculation and theory on the origins and early history of the Middle ages and indeed modern pegasi.
