THEY MANAGED TO MAKE RAINBOW EVEN COOLER!
I can't tell you how much I was fanboying during these scenes. The show has had battle moments before, but we actually have a full on war, with militarized Wonderbolts. (I'll need to watch the episode again to see if Spitfire and Soarin' were there.) And that armor! It's almost straight out of LoP and the armor I imagined for the Wonderbolts! I definitely got a Uruk Hai vibe with the armor from Sombras forces.
Seriously, look how grim these three are. Also some sweet looking Earth pony armor. Also not to mention Rainbow with a kick ass scar and prosthetic wing.
I'll have a full on blog sometime later reacting to the whole finale, but I couldn't pass up throwing these up real quick. Ya know. 'Cause military-wonderbolt-apocalyptic badass Rainbow Dash is best pony.
I'm still geeking out here. THEY MADE HER SO COOL!
