Now that my Sonata story is set to go live (any day now…), I'm sort of at a loss on what to do. That was the last piece of writing that I actually had a page set up for here – on my story timeline thingy, it's actually in between my Sunset fics – so whatever I put out next will be completely new. At least to my reader(s?).
Anywho, here are some story possibilities I'm throwing out into the ether…
◊ Lows And Highs – A sequel to "Highs And Lows" where Rarity tries to help Sunset out of a depressive episode. A reader suggested I write this; I said I didn't know if I could, but I'm willing to try.
◊ Rosales – Technically a prequel to my very first story on this site, "Ponyville Holds An Election". It's about Celestia's first abortive attempt to alicornify a pony. This one-shot is not finished yet, but I know where I want to go with it. It will have a nice twist ending that explains a WTF moment in the last chapter of "Election" that no one seemed to notice.
◊ {title redacted} – This is a Pinkie Pie story that I've been writing off-and-on since Summer 2013 (that's before Season Four even began airing) delving into her fragile little mind. It's already well over 75,000 words in its unpolished unfinished state. When completed, it will contain six parts of at least a few chapters apiece, and two spin-off one-shot stories (they're already written). The reason none of it has been posted yet is because (1) events in the show forced me to revise it significantly before I finally gave up and declared it AU; (2) I'm not happy with Part II, a multi-chapter flashback, so I need to rewrite it; and (3) I'm not sure how Part VI is going to work out; that's the only part I haven't outlined at all.
◊ Pretty Princess – Title likely to change. This is a Mystery/possibly-Adventure story starring Sunset Shimmer and Apple Bloom that I have outlined almost completely but have not formally written a word because I'm still working on its internal logic (mysteries kinda need that). It will have one spin-off prequel story solely about those two. No outright shipping though; I don't write clop.
◊ An Equestria Girls Fix-Fic – Not actual title, of course. Something I have 75% completed that attempts to rectify a major plot hole in EQG1. Normally, I would never publish something like this, since I find the idea of fix-fics rather… conceited, but it's the type of thing that would tie into literally every EQG fic I write. Probably the only piece of writing where I won't care about its stats.
◊ Crack Crossovers! – The cast of one of my favourite anime series from the 70's-80's (there's two possibilities) meet MLP and terrorize Ponyville. Because all of the above story ideas are at least a little Sad™, it might be nice to do something insane.
◊ Or just more one-shot stories of Sunset Shimmer having mental breakdowns, since I seem to be very good at those.
