About that liveblog... · 1:00am Nov 26th, 2015
Okay, it's probably pretty obvious anyway by this point, but to confirm: I've given up on my liveblog of The Immortal Game. It's a lot of work, and no real fun unless there's a reasonable level of interaction with commenters. That pretty much disappeared after a couple of chapters, so I don't have the motivation to continue with the liveblog idea, and I probably won't try it again. I've also not been in the best of health recently, so something had to give, and this was what gave. Apologies to anyone who was still reading and enjoying; as a small consolation, I will continue reading the story and it will get a conventional review on Louder Yay when I'm done.
I've been telling myself I should read that story for over two years now
Sorry about your ill health. I hope you feel better soon.
3568745 At my current rate, it'll be two years before I finish it anyway!
3569869 Thank you.
Sorry we couldn't keep up. I was looking forward to more even if us in the audience weren't up for providing witty repartee to keep your motivation boosted.
3589777 To be honest, with the current state of my health I doubt I could have kept up at the moment, so it may be a blessing in disguise. Sadly, though, a liveblog isn't really any fun unless you have people commenting on it at the time, unlike (say) my blog reviews where something interesting sometimes turns up weeks or even months later.

True. I know the feeling of being relieved for a good reason to cut short a big project. Still, was looking forward to seeing your reactions unfold. Perhaps you could at least note some fun thoughts/reactions to things as you read to slip into the full review when you get finished?
3591518 That's not a bad option; I may well do something like that. Thanks for the idea!
