A prediction

Full disclosure: I've seen the very final scene of EQG: Friendship Games, but otherwise I've avoided leaks and spoilers about the season 5 finale.

I think that, in the season 5 finale, Twilight Sparkle is going to have a crisis of faith. Before she can save the day, she'll have to wrestle with the question of whether or not she's really qualified to be The Princess of Friendship.

And if the answer turns out to be "You're not the best at friendship, but you work damn hard at it, and you're constantly trying to get better, and that's why you're the Princess," then I will be a very happy clam.

I could grok that. I can certainly see how the season's been building to a question like that.

3563368 I was on the fence about whether this running theme was foreshadowing, or just the writers giving Twilight character flaws. What made me lean towards the foreshadowing idea was the realization that Starlight Glimmer's background cameos were both in "Twilight, you done screwed up at this friendship thing" episodes. That seemed like too big a coincidence.
