If (for some oddity of nature) you have my read my profile, you probably know that I like to mess around with After Effects. Believe it or not, writing is just a hobby to me. What I want to follow is the path of either a Game Producer or a Effects Creator and recently I've been inclined towards the second. It's not an exaggeration to say I was the top student in my editing class. Among all students, I probably rank in the top 3 or 5, although I'm not certain which. In other words, I'm good at what I do and, most importantly, I like it. So, in order to get ahead of the rest, I applied for a Teacher's Assistance job working for my teacher, the one who introduced me to After Effects. I began asking around, getting information about mid-semester, something between may and june. I talked to him and he was relieved to get someone help him out. I talked to my coordinator and he said all I had to do was send the application at the end of the semester and I did. It was all pretty much arranged already, but you know, standard procedure and all that. But there was something I didn't know.
Students who had failed subjects were not eligible for the TA spot. And I have 5 failed subjects on me.
Now, I could go on about that one semester where I bit off more than I could chew, but that's pointless. I have 5 failed subjetcs on me and I can't finish them all before I finish college, meaning that I'll only be able to dream about being the TA in about 2 years. I know it's not their fault, it's mine alone. I screwed up that one time and this is how I'm paying for it. I'm not mad, I'm just... disappointed. Oh, and sad. Like, feeling really, really down. I was really excited about this thing. I spent all of the rest of my semester and my vacation thinking about it, but they never sent me anything back. No word from them until today and I sent my application about 2 months ago! Wanna know the worst part? He got someone else to replace me and I heard part of their conversation, about the workload, working hours, lunch breaks... he even paid her a frappuccino from the local Starbucks!
Jealousy? Most certainly. Will it take me down? Most certainly not. Although it's nto quite the same, I'll be taking extra credit classes on a subject very similar to this one. Might even do it again next semester, since they require of me to take at least one class. They never said anything about multiple subjects.

Violet Fire chapter 9
Coming along beautifully. My uneasiness for my situation has given me extra fuel to work a lot. Wrote nearly 1000 words in a few hours. All with my trusty cellphone. I thought my technique of writing in the bus was good, but it's better than I thought! Sure, I can't italize or format it correctly, but that is quickly fixable on gdocs. So, expect the chapter to come out this week on time, of that I'm certain. There will be some good development, as well as some, shall we say, more mature jokes and maturity is something I'm aiming with this chapter. Will Twilight show up? Will the rest of the mane 6 show up? Will the handsome blue pegasus ever get his cappuccino? As the japanese would say: who knows?

You know, when you run a Dungeons and Dragons game, or write a story, you always have to be careful not to give your own character/self-insert too much attention, and make sure he doesn't steal the spotlight.
As such, I feel that the blue Pegasus, in the interests of fairness and balance, must never receive his cappuccino.
