NEW CHAPTER RELEASE IS IMMINENT · 6:07am Nov 19th, 2015
Gentlereaders, I'm happy to announce that chapter thirteen The Book of Water: The Heart of Winter is nearly completed. This chapter is one of the largest yet, topping out at over 17k words and by the time I'm finished writing it, it may top out over 20k words. Hopefully you'll find it as fun to read as I had writing it. I had honestly only planned on writing about 10k for this chapter, but before I knew it I had brought characters together in exciting new story lines, added a few new plot points, and ended on a few cliffhangers, and before you know it the chapter's length had ballooned to its current size. I'm not sure how many people read these blogs when I write them, but I have a favor to ask. If you decide to comment tell me if you've enjoyed the direction I've taken the story so far, and one thing you feel the story would be better off without. Well it's back to the grindstone for me, these chapters don't write themselves (more's the pity). Looking forward to reading your comments.
Until next time!
a new chapter is coming out soon
If you've seen my comments on the chapters then you should know that I really love this series and so yes I am enjoying the direction the story is taking, I would maybe like a little less of Luna's back-and-forth she has with herself, I always liked the grand schemes and political intrigue of this story. Don't get me wrong, I like to see Luna's internal struggle, but she's constantly going from he loves me to he hates me and back, I want either a little development to push her into some action (which based on the last chapter seems very close), something to develop to between them, or for her to harden up a little.
Anyway, take what I said with a grain of salt, I had to sit and think properly for something I don't like so much to come to mind, so you're doing a good job.
3552675 Thank you for your comments gentlereader, my apologies but I think you may dislike this next chapter then, because Luna happens to do a bit of vacillating in it. However her concerns and uncertainty will shortly come to a close. So I'm sure you'll enjoy her new outlook on life and everything else. Perhaps we can call her Luna 2.0?
3552753 Trust me, I won't dislike it. I don't even really dislike what I said, but if I had to pick something it would be that. Also yes it will be good to see something change in Luna, hopefully for the better but after her close call last chapter to doing evil stuff I am doubtful. I do now hope that the Slave King accepts Luna, but when I think about it I'm unsure as to why I want that; on the one hand I do now like Luna and despite me initially disliking her for marrying the Slave King against his will, she grew on me and she was also manipulated by Celestia to an extent and so I want to see her happy, but on the other hand I think I only truly want it to work out with them because if it doesn't Luna is the one with the upper hand with the Slave King in his weakened form, and I like the Slave King and want him to remain powerful. I do have to bear in mind though the set up to this particular story though with Trixie in modern Equestria which seems to foreshadow how their marriage will go. I hope this made some sense, I am really sleep deprived at the minute. I think I'll go sleep now, eagerly awaiting the next chapter as ever though.
