A Dark Reminder

Nearly 2 Years Since Last Chapter

Fuck, it's been a while since I posted a blog.

Longer since you posted a chapter.

    Here's Why

The Adventures of Fragment hasn't updated in almost a year now, and I sure there's someone out there who'd like to know why.

    Well, allow me to explain.

    Readings Related Question

The question is simpler than the answer.

Should a story's amount of likes matter if it's never been in the Featured Box?

Reading: Ace in the Hoof: Chapter 1 (SO IT BEGINS)

Fun fact: the outro song I used I used just because the main character's name is Dirge.

Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw On Being Deliberately Offensive

Hatred is a game that is deliberately trying to be offensive. Forgive me if that's obvious to you, but it apparently slipped by some people, who never seemed to grow tired of pointing out that it was offensive, and therefore shouldn't be allowed. You know me, I'm a pretty liberally-minded guy, but I confess to having difficulty following the logic here. Something set out to be

Here's Why · 3:14am Nov 18th, 2015

The Adventures of Fragment hasn't updated in almost a year now, and I sure there's someone out there who'd like to know why.

Well, allow me to explain.

As I stated a while ago and in a few more recent blog posts, I've started doing readings/reviews on YouTube and it's something I put a lot of effort into and takes a fairly large amount of time to make. It's something that I put real dedication towards and enjoy making, I have no plans to abandon it, but nor do I plan to abandon The Adventures of Fragment, but we'll talk more about that soon.

Readings take a lot of time for me to make; recording all the lines; finding all the images I want to use, editing etc. So making one of those - depending on the length of the chapter I'm reading - takes more than a month to make, but that's not the only thing consuming my time. A few months ago I go my learner's permit for driving, and I've been building up my driving hours for my driver's license road test, going out almost every week to drive for a few hours.

Generally, life is getting in the way of both my writing and recording, and it shows no signs of moving anytime soon.

But what about T.A.F. itself? Surely in all this time I could have gotten something for it written and posted, right? Sadly, no. For a while I was stuck at the beginning of the chapter trying to figure out how to start it off, but that's something I got passed about two weeks ago. So you know what the problem is now? I just can't seem to focus on it; I'm always getting distracted by YouTube videos or just madly checking for notifications, and if it's not those it's just flatout having things around the house to do.

I still want to write T.A.F.; I think about future story events all the time and really want to form them, but I feel that another thing getting in the way of writing The Adventures of Fragment is all the other stories I want to write. I've got seven other stories I want to get out there, one of which isn't even My Little Pony related. It's all clogging up my head and making focusing on one story kind of hard.

MY BRAIN IS FULL OF FIC AND I HATE IT

I feel like I'm somewhat in the same boat on "Changeling No More." I'm so close to finishing it yet work, other activities, and commitments keep getting in the way and I just can't seem to find the amount of time I want to sit down and do some writing on it. At least we haven't given up. We can do this on our own terms.

At least Changeling No More is just one chapter away from done; I've got another forty to go. :pinkiesad2:

Maybe you can just begin to write the other stories without really posting so that they get out of your head and then finish fragment

Well, that's better than my ideas.
