A much needed update...

I was sitting around yesterday, casually browsing the site, when a flood of notifications hit my bell-shaped icon up there. Doccular42, being the swag hawt mare she or he may or may not be, utilized the Wingpony for a chapter of Her Knight in Faded Armor and gave a nice link in the Author's Note. The result of which was a bunch of new followers (hello!) and a whole bunch of activity on my own story. I also hit 100 followers -- a threshold I never believed I would cross -- so I have to throw thanks to everyone for the support and general awesomeness.

Now, I'm going to take a bit of a dark turn for a moment. It doesn't take much effort to notice that I have not been very productive on the writing front for some time. I'll try to keep a long story brief. I had begun applying for professor positions at the end of September, and my superboss had some words about my first proposal. I rewrote the thing numerous times, spewed out a few hundred pages, and the result of that was a giant lack of productivity. My birthday arrived, which was fairly awesome, but then honestly things took a rather crappy turn. That following weekend (Halloween) I had a rather unfortunate coupling of events. Some of you have talked to me about this. Some have no idea. Both of these cases are fine, though I was significantly burned out in the process. I also went down the spiral of depressing bullshit.

I'm not out from under the clouds yet; however, things are picking up. I had time to open my word document for the first time in a month, so hopefully, I will be able to close out I29 of ASoD soon! In the meantime, I have a new project in the works, which is to convert my story into a comic. Doing this will require quite the funding expedition, so I created a gofundme page. If you feel inclined to drop in a few bucks, it'd be quite helpful. :P Since I really want to do it, I've already begun saving funds from other sources, but ya know, help is nice. :P This artistry work is being done by the wonderfully awesome Autumn Tea.
