    Watch (This) Space

    Hello everyone!

I've been gone on hiatus for a few years. I stopped watching My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic in the middle of the seventh season. But a few months ago, my interest was rekindled. And the last two seasons were fantastic. The high point, for me, is the new characters -- the Student Six -- who breathed fresh life into the show.

"Ready to fuck some shit up?"

I'll admit it, I've been waiting to use that picture! :rainbowdetermined2: It's time! And you know why. Today is a most glorious day!

It's been a long time coming, long and eagerly awaited. The launch trailer came out mid last week. The game itself arrives today.

"Let's go!"

I timed Origin Story to give fans something fun over this last week as we waited. The last part posted yesterday morning. Origin Story is now on FIMfiction. Complete... and with a few new additions (and better editing).

Now to get lost in the Wasteland once again.

I currently still intend to do a "PipBoy Diary" -- a written Let's Play -- of my character's adventures. Is that something most of you are still interested in? If so, should I start doing that now with my first playthrough (allowing the "Let's Play" to be "blind")? Or hold off for my second playthrough a few months from now (to avoid spoiling anything)? Let me know in the comments.

And have fun! :pinkiehappy:

Heard of this before?

Ohhn definitely do the blind play though thing!

Give me something to do with the game till I can afford to get a computer that can actually run it.

I'm all readied up! Pre-ordered on steam, got the season DLC pass, pre-loaded the game, and spent half a day cleaning and optimizing my comp. MY BODY IS READY!
P.S Blind lets plays tend to be better. And it seems like it would make a written account that much more immersive.

Honestly, just like in ME the female voice sounds better than the male! (Why can't anyone just place a voice in that is deep and gravely for me so I actually use male characters?) Kkat, I would love to see the Pip-Boy Diary! (Classified Ink for it I guess, for those that don't want spoilers?)

Blog 111... Well played Kkat, well played.

And yes, a pipboy diary would be cool to see. I need to get this game and a bunch of nuka cola quantum.

I just got the email saying my pip-boy edition has shipped! AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH SO HYPE. Granted my friend who pre-ordered through steam will be playing while I'm waiting for UPS to arrive, but still!

Going to class is going to be a struggle tomorrow.

The Pipboy Diary sounds like a great idea.

I just realized that all the all the main characters that come out of vaults... or stables in this case are unicorns. I've read FOE: NH and the main character there was a unicorn.

I like the idea of you doing a "Blind Let's Play" and telling us about it. :pinkiehappy: As for me, I just finished New Vegas a month or so ago.

"Ready to fuck some shit up?"

Sadly, I don't have the tech or the console to play Fallout 4. :twilightoops:

Have fun getting lost in the wasteland!

I think you should do the Let's Play blind. It'd help you get into character more, I guess.

I feel u mate, I'm on the same boat

i'm looking forward to playing it and implementing some paralels into my Fallout fic ^^

the maximized customization options should really help me with ym Main character Gear Grinder since wlel she's a gear head XD her special talent is the basically fallout science XD

guns, power armour HER OWN PIPBUCK! XD

3531473 Unicorns are most interesting to write for most authors because they can a) speak easily while still having a weapon, b) magic is versatile and fun, and c) pegasus in Stables doesn't make much sense in FOE.

3531521 Of course not! Most pegasi in the Fallout Equestria universe come from the Enclave. It's thanks to Kkat here that I started playing Fallout 3 and pre-ordered Fallout 4. It would be cool if there was at least pony art of a vault dweller earth pony, though. I also know that crystal ponies are proto-ghouls and I actually like ghouls.

Out of all the enemies in the series, I've grown to hate mirelurks. I'm also gonna let you know if I can play FO4 on my laptop.

I'd say go in blind kkat!

I've been told not to buy it since my family is buying fallout 4 for me for Christmas, so i have about another 2 months of waiting D:

3531420
Fairly sure she has; her playlist is what introduced me to Miracle of Sound :moustache:

Damn... It comes out tomorrow, not today... At least for me. And I won't be able to buy it until at least evening. And the next day is national holiday, so I won't be a le to buy it then either if I missed the first chance... Damn. I'll have to avoid the entire internet until that time.

I definitely prefer blind play-throughs. They tend to have a much more authentic feeling of discovery to them. That said, I might postpone reading such a play-diary for a week or so, so that I'm clear of most of the big spoilers. :twilightsheepish:

Less than twelve hours, now... :pinkiecrazy:

Blind playthroughs are so much fun~
Especially if you turn it into a story of all the mistakes you made

Poor Sole Survivor

hi hi

I'd say go with what you're comfortable with. If you're feeling like writing a let's play on your first go through distracts you from the experience, then wait for the second time through.

Hmm... I say go blind, but... maybe make additions to it for a second playthrough. Y'know, maybe just the really important, different choices you can make.
Can't wait here either. And I need to buy the season pass, I haven't yet! :raritydespair:

I'm in for a double treat, because Fallout 4 and Starcraft II: Legacy of the Void will be released almost simultaneously. Oh what a day, what a lovely day! :pinkiehappy:

I'm definitely interested and in my opinion, first playthrough is the best one, spoilers be damned.

Definitely go in blind, I feel like you'd enjoy it more, as would we. But at the end of the day, it's up to you. I'd rather you enjoy the game, and if thinking about the journal is going to distract you from that, put it off for a later run. Regardless, OMFG IT'S SO CLOSE I CAN TASTE IT.

3531680 Agreed, up to you. Afterall you were always "open" with spoilers and it's our choice to read the blogs afterall.

Looking forward to it, only issue is I didn't pre-order it. I expected to be OTR for training right now and ended up at home for a week.

Now to get lost in the Wasteland once again.

Oh, Wasteland, how I have missed you so.

I'll have to sit this one out until I can buy more PC parts to upgrade it further on Cyber Monday.

Did you plan for blog 111 to be Fallout 4's? Because, you know, the whole vault 111 thing... Or was that a really awesome coincidence?

I'd like to see the commentary on this run, but I'll be playing the game too. If others don't want the spoilers though, I won't complain.

3531425 I'm with this guy!!
Now lets go fuck some shit up in the wasteland!! I've been hyped all day

P.S. Do a blind one it'll be more interesting for us and you instead of having a lot of spoilers beforehand.

Streeaaaaaam

That would most certainly be interesting. You can get some inspiration from that ask little pip blog from the beginning I think. Good Luck!

Have super fun, but I would love a journal of your experiences Kkat. As always. My computer can't run it :( so I get to watch others play it till I get a new computer.

I would think that writing it with the first playthrough would be a good idea.

Sounds like something I would read! (Btw is that the OC of the Fallout 4 character? Because it would be a little disappointing that our next protagonist is another unicorn again.)

I'd love to read the diary, although I'd have to hold off reading it until I can get the game.
(a.k.a post-Thanksgiving hardware upgrades)

I'm so excited so [internally] excited. Are you excited everyone? I would read a Pip-Boy diary of how your first playthrough goes. Only if it's not an inconvenience for you enjoying the game we have all long waited for.

Let's go kick some ass and take some names.

Ooh, I like that Pipboy diary idea. Might do my own.

...Maybe. Now that I think about it I remember trying this before with other games but I eventually got bored of it or was so concerned with thinking about what I'd write later while playing that I wasn't focusing on the game as much. Now that I think about it further that's the same reason I stopped keeping a regular, real-life diary.

But that's just me and writing. Reading yours is a different story.

Maybe I should try recording my gameplay. Because I come up with some crazy stuff to say or do when I'm playing. What's some good software for that? Lots of people do that kinda thing.

3531815 dude! :rainbowhuh:

Anyway my body is beyond ready its preloaded and ready to go at midnight I can't wait omg omg. Wanted to sleep until later but I can't lol. Guess I'll finish Origin Story.....

I'd love to read a PipBoy Diary of your playthrough, but probably not until I've played some myself.

In the meantime, I'm torn between jumping into Fallout 4 and holding off until I've actually beaten Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas and all it's DLC.

On the one hand I am hyped for Fallout 4, but on the other I feel like I'd never go back to the old ones after playing it...gaaah!

My tendency to get sidetracked and do everything but the main quests has caught up to me. :ajsleepy:

3531425 all I feel right now is anger and betrayal.
Hopefully that will subside to more logical levels with a nights sleep.

I wish I could afford an Xbox One. :fluttercry:

That's a totally unique and awesome idea! ^.^

:raritycry: I've waited to play this game, pre-ordered and everything. Then, long story short, my system got destroyed and now I have to get a new system to get it. And I'm currently unemployed.:fluttercry:

Oh well, it looks like the extra wait will still be worth it.:pinkiecrazy: I think a blind play through would be more interesting, but I'm one of those that have a thing against spoilers so I probably wouldn't read it.:applejackunsure:

3533351 Oooor, you could build a PC. :pinkiehappy:

3535770 Can't afford that either. We're not doin well at the moment.

3535770 3537487 Honestly, an Xbox would be cheaper than a PC that can optimally run fallout 4. Gotta get optimal experience, after all. This post was totally relevant. :derpytongue2:
