Hey guys. Gonna get serious on you for a few minutes.
First, the link. It leads to a gofundme which explains things in more detail. It is not for me.
So, I have a friend. She's been my friend for upwards of ten years at this point. She doesn't live nearby, but back when my child's father attacked me, she was my help, my rock, and did literally everything she could to help get me back on my feet and to where I am today: stable.
She's currently in extremely dire straits. She lost her job, and due to being overqualified for pretty much everything, she's having a very, very rough go of things trying to find a new one.
If any of you have some spare change you can put towards helping her keep a roof over her and her kids' heads, both she and I would appreciate it so much. This is a woman that moved heaven and earth to help me, and even now, even when she has so much stress and worries about how to afford her next meal, she still takes time to listen and give advice to her friends that are going through issues.
She embodies each of the Elements of Harmony set forth by the show we all love so much: Honesty, because she will not lie to hurt anyone or even to help herself. Loyalty, because she is there for you til the bitter end. Laughter, because she can brighten up a room with her infectious joy. Kindness, because she goes out of her way to help creatures great and small with her kind words and deeds. Generosity, because in one of the darkest times of my life when I was helpless with what felt like no way out and no way to keep myself and my child safe, she literally gave everything she had and opened her home to me and my child... shared her food, her home, and her life with us. And that, all combined, makes her Magic.
But even wielders of Magic need help sometimes, and this is one of those times. I won't pressure or bully anyone into this. This is just an honest plea, from one fan of the show to the rest of you, to please help if you can. It would mean the world to us both.
Additionally, Twilight is her daughter's favorite pony, and I was thinking of getting together a little care package of things for the kids as well, little plushies and the like. If you have any suggestions of what I can put in, please drop them in the comments.

I understand that, to a lot of you, I'm just a stranger on the internet who writes horsewords, and you have no reason to trust me. But I'm going to do all I can to make sure she doesn't lose her family, and that includes asking all of you, as well.

I know of a good quality Twilght plushie that you can get for cheap! I bought one myself and she's literally near-perfect, much like the $500+ plushies you can buy at conventions and stuff. She isn't the biggest, but she's great, especially for the price.
