Highs And Lows – Addendum

I almost feel I should apologize for this one.

My previous Sunset story gave us a look into her inner monologue. Here we see what can happen if it's interrupted.

This story was something of an experiment to see if I could take advantage of a sudden burst of energy to pop out a work satisfying FF's guidelines before crashing back into my uninspired doldrums. It was written in a single go, and editing has been kept to a bare minimum.

As a result, it's easily the most personal story I've put up on the site. Sunset's mood reflects my own at the time, although I tried my best to keep her and Rarity in character throughout.

You might have noticed that the story is dated March 1st, yet it posted November 7th. Did I seriously let a one-shot sit for eight months? Yes. Yes I did. So why did I let "Highs And Lows" sit on the site before making it visible? Well, I wasn't sure it was fit for publication. Seeing as it is literally a reflection of my mental state, unfiltered, I didn't think it worth subjecting anyone else to it. I finally returned to it while trying to figure out how to handle "Sonata Dusk Eats A Burrito", and figured I may as well share it, since it's not a bad story really. That it stars my two favourite MLP characters doesn't hurt.
