Once again it is time where I answer your questions! As always I appreciate all of your submissions and encourage you to keep them up. If there is something you'd like to know about in our universe Crystal and I are happy to share what we can without spoilers!

Anzel, How does Princess Luna's return in Quill & Blade differ from canon?
Generally speaking, the actual returning part is nearly identical to the show canon. Twilight Sparkle figured out the prophecy, Nightmare Moon returned, and the mane six answered the call. What may differ is that the dark forces that had influenced Luna were merely defeated, not destroyed. That is somewhat aligned with the comic series take on it.
Quill & Blade differs in the interpretation of the dark forces and what happened at the defeat. It straddles somewhere between the show, the comics, and original content.

Pony security is handled by the royal guard. Specifically the city guard. Each city has its own guard that is responsible for security, policing, and investigation.
All royal guards receive the same basic training when it comes to security and policing since that is what the vast majority of us will do. Guards that choose to devote their careers to the city guard will see different training opportunities open to help them specialize. That includes becoming detectives to investigate crimes.

I know I do. Last night I was trying to do a scene but I wasn't feeling it. We both exhaust a ton of time and effort to produce as much content as we do. Sometimes the spark isn't there.
You've been working on these stories in the Q&B Universe for a while now and have much more to go, do you ever get bored with it? or is the daily switching between different characters and perspectives enough to keep your muse happy?
If I solely wrote Secrets of a Royal Guard I would probably get bored. Between it, side stories, and collaborating on Wishes though I typically end up enjoying it more than getting bored.
I imagine there's a little pressure to be consistent, since you're making a little chunk of change from these stories on Patreon.
That is an understatement. When we were just writing we were committed to our readers and that was pressure. Involving money means a bit more of that. Not that we have any regrets. The way we look at it is that now people donate to support us doing something we love. With that said, it sometimes pushes us to write more and write longer... I'm looking at Crystal!

Anzel, Regarding Dot, will we actually get to see her friends? I remember Silent and Crystal talking about avoiding young fillies and Dot having a sleepover, but I don't recall any descriptions or introductions to her friends, just being informed she had some.
Unlikely. Dot is, more or less, a background pony. She is fun in spurts and as a cameo but this story really isn't about her. She was never meant to be a supporting cast member.
If I do an Iridescence/Winterspear story she'd be a far more major part. For Silent Knight though she is just his quirky niece-figure that is occasionally around.

I think its funny that every comment so far has been a pun on Mr Clockerson (who in my head I keep calling McClockerson, who I suppose would be his Scottish cousin)
I feel like I should say something about how "sad" it is that dot doesn't get more of a spotlight. But to be honest I'm not invested in her character at all, which probably means you did it correctly and she should stay a background character.
