    [Humility] Unlocking the Unfinished Experiment

Well, I wasn't able to keep my promise. I began work on Humility's updated version, made some nice headway on it, and then...just...so much happened. But I'm not going to echo the same excuses. Stuff happened, and Humility sat incomplete, and...I keep thinking about it and feeling like I left part of my best work unfinished. I suppose that's true.

    [Ikusa] Original Novel

Not sure if this'll reach many people but I figure it's worth a shot. Hi! I know that a long, loooooong time ago, I was sharing some details on my game project. It started here, but continued in different ways and for

    Fullmetal Pony Resources

Seems I can't do anything right the first time. Well, here's the in-progress collection to every single resource, note, draft, scrap, and plan I had for FMP. This is everything except the private messages between me and Twilight Is The BEST. And even now I'm still not done cleaning and formatting all of the documents in it.

Voice Acting: Highlight Reel for Karasutengu

I was recently cast in a fandub for Inverted Crown Productions, in the role of Karasutengu, the villain. I got permission from the project director to make a reel of my performance, and it took me all afternoon to get it hosted properly. So:

    A Couple'a Silly Prompts

I asked my buddies in a Discord server to give me some writing prompts because I wanted to create without rules. They came up with two, and they seemed to like 'em. So, I'm gonna share them here too.

A prompt about that humpback whale found in the rainforest.

    And...

Because I Want To, THAT'S WHY! · 8:19am Nov 3rd, 2015

...is the answer to the question I know you're having right at this moment, which is "Why is Leo blogging at two in the morning on a weekday?".

Also because I've been reading a lot of horsewords while I'm at my parent's house doing laundry because I failed to reload my charge card before my apartment's office closed and work tomorrow will require fresh duds.

So hey! Ever wondered what my process for reading is? And how it relates to my grading/shelving system? Well I hope you did wonder that at some point, because I'm about to shove answers down your throat and I won't stop until your belly is full of my thick, warm, sugary answers shout words at you.

There are six main shelves I use: The DIsplay Case, The Bedside Table, The Wall Shelf, The Bookbag, The Floor, and The Radar. I also use ten sub-shelves for my grading scale, but since those barely require much explanation, I'll leave those alone. And since I already covered the five primary shelves, I'll leave those alone too. AND, since having a shelf called the Radar pretty much explains itself, I'll just leave that alo-

Aw, damn it.

Look, I love to read, okay? Usually I'm quite sporadic in what I choose to read. Most of the things on any of my shelves were spur-of-the-moment selections, while some others were recommended to me from friends. Obviously, I'm kind of bad at reading the stories I've already marked for the Radar, since a lot of the horsewords I've taken in have never been placed there. But it's still something!

It's worth noting that many of the stories on the Radar are chapter-based, requiring time and devotion before I can form an opinion. This opinion typically gets formed after the second or third chapter, at which point the story gets moved to either the Bedside Table or Bookbag. Which is also why so many stories already on the Wall Shelf or Display Case are oneshots or short stories, the kinds that tackle their content in one sitting or else explore it with very few changes in scene or tone. Many of these stories exemplify what I love to see: character interaction and connection, though of course I enjoy drama, humor, or action as well. And yes, despite what I said a moment ago, some of the stories here are longer than oneshots and far outweigh any short story.

What bugs me is the problem this causes. I will often see a story that interests me, and will choose whether or not to read that story at that moment. If I do, then I render my opinion and place the story in the appropriate shelf. But if I don't? Well, then I tag the story for my Radar and rest easy knowing that it will be there when I'm ready for it. And that causes the number of horsewords to skyrocket.

I'm talkin' 256 unread chapters in the Radar. Some stories I've tackled before, most stories I haven't touched yet. And if I include the unread updates in my other tracking bookshelves, I've currently got 270 chapters awaiting my eyes.

TOO MANY WORDS.

And also I've got my own writing and game projects that require my attention.

TOO MANY WORDS.

AND ALSO there are the events that my friends and companions OUTSIDE of FIMfic require my talents to make!

TOO MANY WORDS NOT ENOUGH TIME.

What's a poor Leo to do?

Blog about it and then go back to ignoring the entire mess "it'll still be there in the morning" once again

I have a solution to your problem.

Ditch everything and replace it with more KitsuneRisu.

I hear he's a swell guy and writes the good stuff, like an oreo filled with fried chicken.

So swell that I'm not even going to sign up a new alt account to promote him anonymously.

Okay but seriously, I always wondered, and in a weird sort of way I'm glad you made this blog explaining all of it. Eventually I was going to yell at you. You saved us both the trouble.

And yes. The break worked. You are a netzcodar now. A SupaHacka.

Also you had better read it all. And I mean it.

No one frivolously adds me to libraries.

I'm watching you.
