Lost Marbles!? What Happened To You?

    Howdy, y’all.

I’ve been silent on FimFic for a very long time, and this blog post has been a long time coming.

    What an incredibly bizarre feeling...

I just binged the entirety of DEVILMAN Crybaby, and while the somber tones of the ending where still settling in my brain, I turned on the first episode of Cyborg 009 VS Devilman.

    Medieval Coroner Reports

On Saturday, August 9th, 1298, a candle on the wall in a small shop in Oxford fell onto the floor and ignited the straw flooring. John and Alice Trivaler, the husband and wife operators of the shop, that was also their home, rushed out of the burning building; however, no sooner than when they reached safety, to Alice's utter horror, she remembered her infant son of only four weeks was

    Huh... I was there...

I slipped and twisted my ankle during this storm and spent three depressing days snowed in a hospital. And that was when I discovered Fimfic.

Never knew it was a part of meme history.

NaNoWriMo's over... so what now? What have I learned?

NaNoWriMo is over. I didn't meet the written goal, but it's not a failure.

I'm really thankful for you guys. · 3:45am Nov 3rd, 2015

I'm very thankful for you guys.

I try really hard to get views. You've all probably seen my (tolerable) comics that I use to promote my stuff. But that's not all I do. I work really hard on the chapters, and each one takes more time than the last as I comb each one over to make sure everything is as good as it possibly can be. I go back to previous chapters to check facts to make sure I don't forget them. (Godiva's head is full of poison joke? Check. Did Porthos torment Hauteclaire in this chapter? Check. The King saw a microphone? Check. This particular word was used to describe something about the court and their powers? Check.) Hell, the "Dinner with Twilight" chapter had to be rewritten twice! (That's nothing compared to the numerous times I've rewritten the prologue and first chapter. I even have an unreleased version of the Prologue that stars the two pegasi that the King scares in chapter one.)

One thing that really surprised me is how much the story has evolved since I first started. Many ideas I had have been dropped and new, better ones have taken their place. This next chapter on - Porthos and the Unexpected Lesson in Friendship (Working Title) - was actually supposed to be split into two, but thinking about the events, I was able to cut down on a lot of content and move the story along at a reasonable pace. All the twist and turns I've experienced in making this story has really pleased me.

But that isn't the best part about it. It's you guys. Almost every day I get a few views. Anywhere between one to twenty, and that makes me happy. However, the "Views" stat isn't increasing. It means that you guys and gals are coming back for more. My stuff is worth reading and worth coming back to. I'm very happy I was able to make something that is successful in entertaining you and make you wanting more. It touches me and makes me want to work harder on the rest of the story.

So thank you, all of you who gave "A Game Of Kings and Pretty Pony Princesses" a chance, even if you didn't like it.

I'm going to give you a quick update - My editor is working on this November Novel thing, so I promised to give him his space. He'll help me with the last chapter of "Discord's Discombobulating Discounts" and then I'll let him be for the rest of the month. In the mean time, I'll be hard at work finishing as many chapters as I can. I expect to get two done, and boy, those two are going to be big ones! You'll get to learn about my favorite court member: Porthos. You'll learn why he is the only rat and what exactly Porthos did that Hauteclaire hinted at in the last chapter. You'll also get a peek at Godiva's history. The chapter after that? I can't tell you what happens. You'll just have to wait until it comes out. I can't even give you the title without spoiling it.

So, I can't guarantee that these new chapters will be out this month, but I'm going to try (if my editor has time!).

So again, thank you all very much for your continued interest. Have a wonderful week.
