There's really not much to say.

At Districts, Brad, Frank, and Jaylen all looked bad. Nick, Handley, and Cam looked good. Crail looked fine, but this is more about him getting experience. Running tournament races as a freshman is pretty sweet.

Top four made it to Regionals, and 2nd at Districts had us looking good to finish top four at Regionals to make it to State. With the way races had been going, it seemed pretty clear that Mason and St. X were locks for 1-2. That left two spots up for grabs, and there were five teams that had a realistic shot at those two spots. Us, Beavercreek, Lebanon, and Sycamore all had solid shots, and Lakota East could sneak in if they ran well and caught everyone else sleeping.

And then, well...

Blah

At least Lebanon managed to run worse than us.

Ahh, bugger...

Can't remember if I told you I did x-country in high school as well. The team was just a bit above average in the region. Quite a few of the same dynamics. One of the more notable things was that the long time head-coach was an ex track and field star who'd been in a wheelchair for decades, following a pole-vaulting (?) accident, if I recall. He was an older guy a the time, so passed away now, but was really good at what he did despite the circumstances.

You are the biggest butt that ever did butt. You never told me that you ran cross country. I feel like this is something you should have mentioned.
