MLP Season Two episode rankings (updated 6th Dec 2019) · 9:51pm Oct 27th, 2015
0/10 - AWFUL (unsalvageable, nothing to be gained from watching it, never should have been made, wouldn't recommend to anyone, completely butchers an important subject/teaches a horrible and downright toxic moral)
1/10 - HORRIBLE/BORING (tedious to sit through, hurts to watch it, a bore, no reason to watch it, whatever positive things about it are tiny and not enough to save it)
2/10 - VERY BAD (slightly less terrible, maybe it had that one character you liked or one/two jokes you laughed at that kept it from being a 1 but still very painful)
3/10 - BAD (the kind of bad where you're checking your watch over and over to see how much time is left before it finally finishes)
4/10 - MEDIOCRE (not awful but not really that good either)
5/10 - EH (average, didn't love it or hate it but you feel like you could've done something better with your time)
6/10 - DECENT (the first positive rating on this list, fine overall, you wouldn't watch it again but you are glad you saw it once)
7/10 - GOOD (enjoyable enough that you'd maybe watch it again in future, had some noteworthy flaws but is overall a worthwhile sit-through you'd recommend to someone)
8/10 - GREAT (a solid, enjoyable episode, very entertaining)
9/10 - EXCELLENT (very engaging, awesome, you really recommend it to anyone)
10/10 - MASTERPIECE (extremely engaging, teaches a valuable moral perfectly, definite must-see for anyone)

People kept saying Putting Your Hoof Down was one of, if not, the worst episode in MLP: FiM. Why do you think it's awful?
3501140 EDIT 18th Jan 2019: This comment is extremely obsolete and poorly conceived. My critical analysis skills have grown and I realise there are much worse episodes out there than this one.
When I go into an MLP episode, even if the characters are OOC, even if the plot is contrived, even if the moral is bad or not executed well, I expect to at least get some chuckles or a little entertainment out of it.
I got no laughs from Putting Your Hoof Down. The whole episode was extremely unpleasant.
Not to mention Angel's bratty behaviour, all those asshole ponies coming out of absolutely nowhere just to push Fluttershy over the edge, Fluttershy being absolutely awful (I know that's the point, but even if you want her to go overboard, there's a goddamn limit), Rarity and Pinkie's ideas of assertiveness being manipulating through seduction and scamming, all the blame being placed on Iron Will while Fluttershy gets off completely scot-free (it's like saying "hey, kids, if a guy offers you a gun, you're completely innocent if you actually decide to take it and go on a killing spree, it's HIS fault for offering it to you"), Fluttershy learning the moral out of nowhere with no buildup or cutting back to the inside of her cottage, but especially that f*cking AWFUL scene with Fluttershy insulting Rarity and Pinkie's reasons for LIVING out of nowhere and making them run away crying yet they still come back and easily forgive her that very same day instead of after a couple of days.
If you like this episode, more power to you, like it by all means. But I'll never like this episode or watch it again.

I guess those are flaws, but I personally don't consider them big enough to detract any points. I guess it's just strange to me seeing a great rating cause I recently reviewed the episode which renewed my love of it.
