I see. Yeah, Peacock is delightfully obnoxious and good for distance-based combat. I'm not very good at that at the moment, though, as I like getting personal with an arsenal which is easy to hit with. Best characters are Valentine and Parasoul.

It's not that Peacock is best at ranged--it's that she's really good at pushing you away, then hitting you with a couple things before you try to dive back in to rinse and repeat. It's tough to get under Peacock's guard because she can so easily push you away.
That, and she's the best at ranged combat.

Yes, exactly. She's a push-away character who can barrage you with bombs, knock you away with knives, abuse a super that will likely press you back to the end of the screen and simply teleport away when you get near.
