Anzel, Princess Luna got lucky so to speak that the Nox ponies had a cache of Night Alicorn magic which she could learn and benefit from. Does/did Princes Celestia also have such a thing or has she had to learn on the job the last 1000 years instead?
Yes and no. Princess Celestia had a few advantages over Luna. The first and largest was that she had time with her alicorn mentor. That amount of time is not abundantly clear but Luna suggests that unicorn Celestia had passed years before she did. Of course we have no data on how long a pony is "gone" before coming back. We do, however, know that Celestia had alicorn experience prior to Luna's alicornness.
Celestia also had Star Swirl the Bearded at her side. He has been called a scion (whatever that means) and clearly had the ability to teach Celestia. She also did not refuse his aid as Luna did with the original Moonlit Star. Star Swirl, it can be surmised, had been directly in the service of the Alicorns of the Day.
Finally, we know there are archives in Canterlot. Are they as extensive as Haven's in regards to Day Magic? Time will tell!

Perhaps he did, perhaps he didn't. The outcomes are not the same. I'm not going to do to my foals what he did to Winterspear and I. I didn't think I needed it. My family is proud and private. Having ponies that don't know you poke about in your head is not my idea of fun.

Do you legitimately mean "infinite" or is this more "was there any chance in this story but you went a different direction?" For the latter question, no. Their relationship was never meant to last. It has trouble almost immediately. It allowed me to have SK grow a bit. They were set up to fail before she was even introduced in Memoirs.
As far as infinite universes go the answer has to be yes but it doesn't change the above. Of course in some of them Iridescence is a toaster and Silent Knight is bread.

Yes, for a very short period of time I wrote EverQuest fanfiction. It was short because I realized I was putting a ton of my creativity into something I couldn't own. That brought it to a quick end. From that period until last year everything I wrote was original. Then I had an idea for a silly pony story and thought "why not?"
With that said I've written the Q&B stories in such a way that they diverge from canon enough that, if necessary, I can rewrite them as original. Not that I think that will be necessary. Hasbro seems to be content with the large secondary market that exists around their product.
Ahhh, EverQuest, now there's a blast from the past.
