Passion gone. Explanations, and indefinite hiatus..... · 2:46am Oct 20th, 2015
I've been really distracted, spending less and less time on Fimfiction. It's not only because I've gotten a lot more busy - because, I'll be honest, I still have more than enough spare time to write - but it's also because I've lost my passion for any of this.
Late 2014, I got really interested in MLP again, after having burnt myself out of it mid 2012. I joined Fimfiction on Jan 29th to favourite stories and comment and like, and also to post stories if I ever wrote any, which I obviously did.
Of course, I never expected to get the attention I did when I posted my third story, Caged Inside.
Suddenly I felt obligated to write often. And at first that wasn't a problem. Then it became one. And it became one because I overworked myself, and over saturated myself with pony stuff. Again.
It's a repeat of 2012, my obsession is gone. My interest is dying.
Now don't get me wrong; I'll never stop loving these cute little coloured horsies, (Pinkie Pie! ) but I no longer have the drive or interest to continue writing. And I've realized I'm also stiffing my writing talents from going towards other projects. Maybe even fanfictions for other series.
And I'll definitely EVENTUALLY continue these stories. It'll just take...some sort of spark. Some burst of interest again, to rekindle that dying flame in me.
Of course, who knows? Maybe that flame will be rekindled by something really soon! I certainly don't know the future. I just know I can't focus on this stuff anymore. Not if my interest is mostly gone.
Either way, I'll still be around here, probably most days at some point or another. It's not like I don't still read, and reply to comments.
Please don't lose hope in my stories being continued; I still really want to finish them, for many, many reasons, the biggest of which being because you guys like them so much.
But for now....however long it may be, a couple weeks or over a year, I'll be focusing my writing talents elsewhere.

It's a shame to see you halt the writing. You are quite good at it, and your concepts are amazing. I totally respect your decision, no matter how bummed out I am. I really hope everything works out well for you! Thanks for the awesome stories! Until you return to writing here, pony on, my dear author!
If it's good for you, I mean, I'm sure some people are a little mad for this hiatus but it's about you. We can't force you to write and the consequences would be a terrible writing if you don't want to write but are obliged.
Anyway, I hope when (and if) you'll be back it'd be with a new desire for ponies
At least you aren't physically dead. Which in my experience is pretty damn optimal.
I don't think I can say it better than these three. Good luck to you. I may come looking for you on Skype once in a while, and I'll definitely let you know if I might be able to do Painless.
3483769 Thank you!
3483659 Thanks, I needed that.
3483610 Remove the if, my friend. I will be back with more pony writing eventually
3483370 Thank you I'll definitely come back and continue writing here eventually!

You're welcome. You may surprise yourself, friend. When I hit a wall with my creative writing, I sometimes find writing for a wholly different genre or style helpful for getting me back on track. The brain is powerful thing. It can even help solve problems while you're asleep, so I've read.
In any case, you've got people rooting for you, I among them. Live well.
