No matter what else happens, right now is beautiful. · 6:54pm Oct 16th, 2015

This is by the incredible Ruirik who is an amazingly kind and patient soul. I may or may not have made him redo the skirt about a dozen times before I was satisfied and he didn't complain once. (Well, not more than slight grumbles anyways)

It is a gift for the always amazing Red Squirrel, whose story "The Prince of Dust" you should all be reading.

There are so many things I could say about this piece. How it's grasp of characters never fails to awe me in the depths it reaches to. How this feels exactly like the characters from the show, yet somehow more. How his prose never fails to floor me in its beauty.

Honestly, nothing I could say matters more than, go read it, even if it doesn't sound like your cup of tea, give it a try.

Getting to finally give this to Red after waiting so long was wonderful, coupled with getting another gift for a friend in the mail, and snuggling my dog, which reading amazing fic? Right now is perfect.

A small aside, does anyone with experience in Audacity have time to lend me a limb? I'm having trouble with peaking in my recordings and now sure how to remedy that.

That's a real nice piece of art!
Red Squirrel sure has a really nice friend.

You sure like westerns, don't you.

Well, you could set up a pop filter for your microphone to get better results, I think Audacity has the "limiter" plug-in that is meant to stop peaks, but that might be for production. Found here. That might be able to be used for post-production, too, but I'm not too sure.

I was never the guy to work with audio. Usually I worked with the camera and stuff. By the way, does that mean you're working for Numbers, then?

I occasionally use Audacity. I don't know if I'll be much help, but I'll try to check in with you later about it.

I have been playing a lot of Malifaux lately. More magic adventures in the wild west? Yes please.

I'll have to add this one to my reading queue, then.

I definitely have experience... well, playing around with Audacity. If nothing else, through experience and a web browser, I may be able to find a solution, provided I can figure out what your problem is in the first place.

I have a bit of experience with Audacity, and am audacious. But I don't know what peaking is.
